Location location location!

The actual house was lovely, with a garden, and in a great position near the high street.

The beds were very comfortable and cosy. Unfortunately for us, there were some negatives. The sofas were very low to the ground and so deep that our legs were in the air, and they were not very supportive — although this is just our opinion. The other unfortunate issues were problems we experienced in the house. The downstairs shower room heated rail/radiator wasn’t working at all, and the weather wasn’t particularly warm. Both blinds in the main bedroom did not work — one wouldn’t open and one wouldn’t close — which was not great at night as there were no curtains. The upstairs shower had a joint on the shower head that was completely worn and was spraying in all directions. Lastly, not one window in the house could be opened, as all had locks and no keys were left. We were not happy about this for many reasons and believe it is a breach of health and safety standards. Very disappointing, and such a shame, as these issues ruined part of the holiday and took time and effort trying to sort out.

A lovely cottage exactly as advertised in a most convenient location for exploring the delightful village.

Well furnished and very comfortable beds made out stay perfect, while the well equipped kitchen made it easy to whip up a tasty meal if one wished. The welcome treats were very much appreciated and I would certainly return without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay in Wycliffe.

It was immaculately clean, very comfortable and perfectly position in a quiet spot close to the village. A supply of logs for the wood burner was provided which we were thrilled about. And a lovely welcome pack too. It was very well equipped, with everything you might need. Would highly recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay at Wyncliffe Cottage.

So many good feels about this place, nestled so close to everything you could need in the charming town of Chipping Campden. Wyncliffe is well equipped and the Co-op in town is perfect for this and that to meet your needs (food, etc.). Our particular week in January was rainy and cold, but we knew that coming in. Spent a bit more time inside this cozy cottage with a warm crackling fire, venturing in town to various pubs and shops when the rain cleared and even discovered the Cidermill Theatre in town. We did drive to Daylesford Farm, which we have always loved, and enjoyed dining in town at Eight Bells, The Red Lion and Huxleys. Always enjoy a visit to Sam Wilson, Robert Welch (kitchen/dining), Fillet & Bone (carrot cake! & prepared to go meals, meat, etc.). There are so many other places we missed but will go next time around. The only suggestion we would offer about the cottage is the couches, though perfect in size and comfort, were a bit tired. Maybe some new upholstery? And maybe another throw on the couch for winter guests. Beyond that, everything was so comfortable, offering the best of cottage experiences for us. We will definitely return someday. Also had no trouble with street parking in January.

Perfect location.

Heating and hot water required a plumbers visit. It was sorted out. Cottage could use a deep cleaning for cobwebs. Vacuum cleaner broken. But all in all it was a lovely place to stay. The garden was terrific!!!

Absolutely super house.

All fixtures and fittings of extremely good quality. Equipped with everything one could possibly need on a holiday. Perfect location, only two minutes walk from Chipping Campden High Street, yet it was SO quiet - at night in particular, there wasn’t a sound to be heard. The house was super warm and there was plenty of hot water for baths/showers. Great wood burning stove which must make it lovely and cosy in the winter months. Very comfortable bed.

Very cute cottage that was warm, very clean and in a superb location at Chipping Camden.

The cottage 'instructions' were no where to be found.

They were eventually emailed to me, but as I was already in the cottage and no idea about the wifi password it was hard to get started. Had they been emailed before left I could have printed them. We couldn't get the dvd to work. Not a great problem, but it should probably need to be looked at. Also the batteries in both remotes need to be replaced.

The cottage itself was very well equipped. The photos genuinely do not do it justice!

Although we were unwell whilst we were there the cottage was a cosy comfortable base, the area has so much to offer we will return to it in the future to enjoy it fully.

Lovely place. Main bed frame is pretty squeaky. Other than that, we loved the home and had the most peaceful stay. It certainly felt like our home for two weeks.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, the location was amazing and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

We had such a lovely time and will definitely be returning.

A beautiful cottage in a perfect location on a quiet lane but just around the corner from the local shops for fresh bread, pastries, butcher and deli, along with restaurants and pubs for eating out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week walking in the morning, wandering the local towns and villages and relaxing back at the cottage. We were lucky that the weather even allowed us to make use of the comfortable garden furniture even at this time of year. The cottage is very well equipped with great quality glasses, crockery etc, everything you could need is provided. A fresh cup of coffee from your lovely machine set us up nicely each day. Thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful Cotswold cottage.

The cottage and the garden were beautiful.

It had everything we needed for our stay. It was an ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds. It was a very short walk into Chipping Campden, which is a beautiful village with lots of lovely shops and restaurants.

An absolutely delightful cottage full of character-the owners have thought of everything.

Brilliantly located for everything Chipping Campden has to offer -pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops) and a perfect base for unpacking the treasures of this beautiful and unspoilt area. (We went to Oxford on the train (Moreton-in-Marsh station about 15 mins drive away then train to Oxford about 30 mins) plus Stratford-Upon-Avon is about 25 mins away by car). Chipping Campden is basically a film set and every single building is stunning. We felt like we had been transported back in time to gentler and better times. If you like walking, running or cycling you will be in your element. This is one of the best holidays and places we have stayed for many years. Parking was on street but we got parked outside of the garden gate with no issues at all. 10/10 and a “Champions League” rating from us. (A few issues to flag for the owners (I emailed housekeeping but got no reply) toilet flush needs attention, the outside light above the kitchen door comes on during the day, also be good if you could please provide recycling facilities).

Our only problem was the kitchen lights only worked one night so it was dark.

I called Sykes on Tuesday morning they worked Wednesday evening then were off again on Thursday evening.So we had to use the torch to see.I left a note when we left on the Friday

The toilet flush was very noisy.

Outside was a bad smell.Not sure if it was the drains.Steps from second bedroom were very close to the top of the stairs.

Charming cottage in an excellent location.

Only 5 mins walk to the centre of Chipping Campden with a great choice of places to eat. The cottage was clean and very welcoming. Short drive to Stow/Moreton-in-Marsh/Bourton-on-the-water and easy parking near the cottage. Would highly recommend

We had a lovely week in this very comfortable cottage.

We spent many happy hours just reading and relaxing in the garden listening to the birds. The garden chairs were so good we have ordered some for our own garden! When we did did venture out it was just 5 minutes stroll to the beautiful High Street with its shops and restaurants. All the prettiest villages and towns are within a 30 minute drive and as long as you avoid the 10 minutes at the end of the school day parking is easy and plentiful. Highly recommended

Tastefully updated accommodation retaining lots of original cottage features (some quirky).

Easy walk to the main street that has a great range of shops and places to eat. Lots of nearby spaces to park. Good Wi-Fi connection. Great location to explore the Cotswolds. We had an enjoyable stay and loved the cottage. We even used the ‘new’ mini oven / microwave. Important for us to have a pet free space. Thank you.

We thought the overall cottage was lovely but does need some improvements.

The general cleaning was very good but its all in the details, the whole cottage inside and out needs a good de-cobwebbing, from the beams to the stairs, round the fireplace (which I did myself ) all the lights and lamps and around the radiators, outside round the windows and doors the main front door was dirty and full of cobwebs, the windows outside need a good clean. The bed was comfortable but every time you moved or got up to use the bathroom the slats under the mattress creaked, it would be better on a divan base. Other guests mentioned about having a microwave which we agree with but doesn't seem to be taken on board. The blinds in the spare room are broken. I didn't like the log basket directly next to the wood burning stove as would get extremely hot, would be better next to the sofa on the other side. We were disappointed with the gardens which needs some TLC including weeding and the plant care. Where the bin was outside an old cloth and mop wasn't nice to see. The garden table and wooden chairs really need replacing, the security light needs to come on sooner than when you are almost at the door as there is no other outside lighting, which we would have liked especially when sitting out in the evening and some alternative outdoor heating the Chiminea was in a strange place and didn't want to move it. Also would have been nice to be able to hang washing outside. Also see some bird feeders for the lovely birds, overall needed a good pruning and tiding. These are only minor things but I think they are important details we did enjoy are stay and loved being in Chipping Campden. Also we loved the paint colour of the exterior are you able to advise the make and colour ? :)

Overall the cottage was comfortable.

Due to the hot dry summer the garden was a bit of a disappointment. Would have preferred (in my opinion) a more useful microwave to a bean to cup coffee machine. Shower area was a bit small for my liking.

Stunning cottage in an excellent location within walking distance of Chipping Campden high street.

The garden is beautiful and well looked after with the lavender and the apple and pear trees. We were worried about the property not having a driveway but with Hoo Lane just around the corner it was no problem at all. The property is furnished to a high standard and has everything that you would need. One thing that we would have liked was a TV in the master bedroom for our little boy but this is just personal preference. Thank you for a lovely break, we would love to return again one day :-)

This cottage was perfect, cozy and comfortable space, beautiful garden and outside space, great location for footpath walks and village access.

We loved everything about it! We did have to call to get an updated key code and have Lisa help with the hot water but otherwise there were no issues at all!

We had a lovely stay at Wyncliffe.

The cottage is beautiful, the location is great and the garden is a real asset in spring weather! The shower was fabulous. A real treat. I noticed that previous guests had commented on the absence of a microwave oven and it would be a useful addition, I’m sure, although it wasn’t too important for us. I did find the lighting a bit too subdued in the evening so my main suggestion would be for a proper reading lamp.I hope these comments are helpful - that’s what is intended!

Second visit speaks for itself

A cozy cottage in a great location with easy access, like 2 minutes walk, to the high street.

It would have been useful to have a microwave oven as we took some food that requires this but nothing major as we had everything else we needed during our 6 nights stay. Many thanks for the complimentary items in the fridge as well. Best regards. Sang from London.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Wyncliffe cottage.

Everything we needed was provided including towels after a hot shower, the cottage was cosy and homely. We enjoyed the garden too as we had lovely spring weather. We ate at Michaels restaurant and Badgers cafe a short walk away which we would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay very much at Wyncliffe cottage!

It was everything we were looking for for our Christmas break. The only feedback we have is 1) help with the heating system. It would turn off at night time and we were unable to turn it back on. We had our young baby with us so this was a concern for us as it was too cold for him. 2) one dishwashing tablet for a week was not enough 3) main bed wasn’t very comfy and the pillows very soft - perhaps some firm would be great. The coffee was great, facilities very lovely and clean. Will definitely be back and have already recommended to our friends.

This was the perfect cottage to stay in the Cotswolds!

It’s in a good location in Chipping Campden with plenty of shops and pubs in the village and on a quiet street. The cottage was really well equipped and it was a nice touch (and lovely surprise) to be given some fresh supplies (bread, milk, juice etc).

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here.

The cottage is beautiful and in a fantastic location in Chipping Campden. The living room was very cosy and comfortable and it was lovely to have logs for the fire. The kitchen was far better equipped than we'd expected plenty of space. It was great to have nice bread, eggs etc on arrival. Highly recommend

An amazing place to stay which is only a couple of steps away from the Northerly start point of the Cotswolds Way.

Wishing walking distance of a number of great restaurants, pubs and places to pick up some great food. Would highly recommend for any couples or groups of four who want a perfect base for a stay in the Cotswolds.

This is a lovely, cozy and well equipped cottage.

We enjoyed a fabulous long weekend with our young son. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of lovely places to visit. The sofas are very comfortable and the addition of a bean to cup coffee machine was very welcome! I would definitely recommend.

Very clean with a large amount of quality features making this property a first rate stay. The hosts were very quick and polite in answering any questions. Would defiantly stay again.

The most beautiful cottage, in a peaceful location, yet close to amenities.

So much character, comfortable beds, gorgeous fire, lovely sofas, and great use of space. We stay in a lot of cottages, and this one is up there with the best !
