  • "This is a diamond."

Quaint and cosy, lovely and warm with individual heaters in every room. The walls are decorated with the loveliest art and one senses Andre and his wife have tried their best to make it a home from home. The kitchen is very well appointed but please bring your own milk, tea, sugar, coffee and toilet rolls, although some coffee is left on site for those gasping for a cup upon arrival. A shop is 2 minutes walk away and although there is a pub next door but we heard not a sound. No barking dogs or traffic; very quiet. Space for two cars with a third just over the road where the yellow line ends. A great find, where we had a wonderful family reunion. Please note that the twin beds are not suitable for elderly adults as they are quite low but I believe these will be replaced with standard height beds in the near future.

Hi Anthony Thank you so very much for your wonderful comments. I'm only sorry that we didn't get to meet; I held on as long as I could on your day of arrival; such a shame! Yes, we consciously decided against a high-end finish, where Guests might feel they had to 'walk on eggshells', preferring a standard that we, and our Guests felt was cosy, relaxed and informal; and, by the wonderful reviews, everyone seems to be happy - fantastic! I really must apologise, regarding the situation regarding beverages that we leave out for our Guests, but having left a 4-pint bottle of milk; over a Kilogram of ground coffee; a container full of instant coffee; 20± -coffee pods; 60 Yorkshire tea-bags; a box of green tea, and a full jar of sugar, we honestly thought we had left more than enough for two nights stay. The cottage accommodates eight Guests as standard, and with the sofa-bed, nine on many occasions, even more, with visitors on top, we feel, with the relatively low fees charged for the cottage in comparison to most other venues, we simply cannot afford to provide inexhaustible quantities; as it already costs us a small fortune. We do therefore feel it necessary to ask Guests to be prepared to provide their own beverages, once what we leave out is exhausted. Again, it appears we owe another apology, as we normally leave a spare roll of lavatory paper in each of the three bathrooms. On this occasion, the cleaning member of our team decided you wouldn't need a spare roll as well as a full roll; as you were only staying for two nights. We have now asked her to make sure there is a spare roll in each bathroom cupboard, no-matter how short the stay; so, thank-you for bringing this matter to our attention. Every little help is so valuable in helping us to continue to improve, which is a win-win situation for everyone. Thank you all, once again. 4Happydays, Mags & André Property Owner

Cosy and comfortable, it certainly was! Convenient for the pub next door and the bus stop opposite as well. Thanks to the lovely hosts who were so very helpful. Very enjoyable stay.

  • "We had a great time in this property."

It was really toasty on arrival and the air conditioning makes it ideal all year round. Kitchen is well kitted out for holiday accommodation and all four rooms are acceptable in size. Two showers are great when you're a large party. Owners were in constant communication, which felt very reassuring.

Hi! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful stay. We put a lot of care into making sure every guest feels completely at home at Cosy Cottage, and it’s lovely to know that this came through. We understand that accommodation can simply be adequate or acceptable—but with a little extra thought and effort, we aim to help create truly special experiences: memorable reunions, strengthened long-distance friendships, and moments that rekindle the bonds with the people who matter most. Some of our past groups have already booked their reunions for next year, and we’d be thrilled to welcome you and your friends back again whenever the time feels right. Thank you so much for choosing Cosy Cottage. Warm regards, Mags & André Property Owner
