"I forgot to leave a message when we left."
The kettle is full of limescale which ended up in our cups of tea. It desperately needs descaling. Please pass this on to the owners.
We mainly had a lovely stay. It would have been pleasanter and more relaxing without our dog. We chose this cottage as it was dog friendly and was listed as being on a quiet lane. However, there was a constant stream of people walking past with and without dogs from 7.30ish am to late evening. This wouldn't have been a problem if we had left the dog at home. He is highly alert and spent his time barking at every passer-by. This led to a stressful stay for both him and us as we tried to keep him quiet. We were glad to leave for our explorations of the local area. Sunday morning and the narrow lane was full of cars by 10.30am as people arrived for church. We were unable to get the car out of the small drive due to people parking directly in front of the drive.
On the whole, a lovely well stocked cottage with tea, coffee, milk etc there on our arrival which was appreciated. Like I said, our main complaint is that we brought our dog, the lane was busier than the high street!
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you mainly had a lovely stay and appreciated the welcome provisions and well-stocked cottage.
We’re sorry about the kettle and will ensure this is descaled. Regarding the location, the owners live on the lane themselves and find it to be peaceful. It is a cul-de-sac, although Mickleton does have a lovely, thriving community. It would be very unusual for anyone attending the church to intentionally block access to a property. The cottage driveway is fairly deep and accommodates two cars.
The cottage is also very well placed for enjoying the many local walks, with or without a dog. Thank you again for your comments. Best wishes Manor Cottages

"We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay at April Cottage."
The location is perfect for us and the village of Mickleton has so much to offer. The Kings Arms just a walk along the footpath, Sarah’s Deli, and the little shop, all enhanced our stay. We enjoyed the Church with all its history and the Church Bells too. The public footpaths are many, right from the front door.
The property is well equipped with a very nice kitchen, good bathrooms facilities and washer and dryer.
Suggestion for the owner would be fans available in the bedrooms during hot weather, more cutlery in the kitchen, and a dustpan and brush which would be useful when sweeping the patio. Mattress in Master Bedroom could be a bit firmer. These things would probably not be noticed in a short term let, but we were there for 8 weeks.
This property is lovely, quiet and quintessentially English. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Good location in a nice village. Well equipped. Beds a little soft. Extra tea towels for a week’s stay would be useful. Food caddy needed. Cushions for outside seating would be good. Barbecue was great! Lots of DVDs and books. Would return and recommend.

"We had a fabulous stay at April cottage."
The location of the cottage was perfect for walks from the cottage and visiting nearby villages. Also, Hidcote Manor and Batsford Arboretum are on the doorstep. The village had a local Morrisons, a small deli with homemade cakes and a butchers. We had an enjoyable meal at the local community pub The Butchers Arms and an excellent meal at Three Ways House Hotel (home of the World famous Pudding club). We would definitely recommend.

"A lovely period property in a very good location."
It is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. There is a small paved area out front which is big enough for 6 to eat outside. The location is quiet (we got used to the church bells very quickly) but there is a good store and a pub within a couple of minutes walk. There are a number of good walks on the doorstep. If we want to holiday in this part again we'd certainly like to come back.
We are delighted that you loved your stay at April Cottage and were able to make good use of the outdoor space. We hope that we can welcome you back again.

"We had a really lovely stay at April Cottage."
The property is just as described - very comfortable and really well equipped. The courtyard garde in very pretty, but I hadn't quite realised it is at the front of the property and that there is no back garden. But that's on me for not reading the description properly. The village location is excellent with so many gorgeous walks straight from the cottage. We had a meal at the local pub The Kings Arms which was very good. It's a very popular, lively pub so I would book ahead. Stratford Upon Avon is only about 30 minutes drive away and we spent a enjoyable morning there. All in all we had a great stay at April Cottage.

April cottage had every we needed, great location with lots of walks and beautiful scenery on the doorstep (The welcome folder was very handy with information and suggested walks;
as there was a lot of muddy footwear it might would be useful to have an outside hose?). We all loved the underfloor heating and fireplace, thank you for our relaxing stay.
