  • "Oakdene is a lovely property, well furnished and very comfortable."

It is the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed at; all the kitchen equipment you could possibly need (except for a salad bowl and spinner), and all the necessary under-sink items, including household cleaning sprays, washing machine tabs etc. provided. No need to bring anything at all. Just one suggestion: as the wall cupboards are quite high, a single step stool would be appreciated. Lots of places to visit within a 20-30 minute drive, and buses north to Stratford or south to the Cotswolds pass the door. Due to poor weather we didn’t have the chance to visit all the places we would have liked to see so we will definitely return to Oakdene as soon as we can. Very highly recommended.

A well-equipped, clean, welcoming house, everything you need for a holiday where you "charge your batteries"! A beautiful area, quiet and friendly people everywhere. We felt very well and we confidently recommend this cottage and the area.

Loved the Christmas decorations and goodies that were left, thank you! Would definitely recommend to friends and would also come and stay again some time in the future.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oakdene."

It had everything we required and we loved the underfloor heating that was set at the right temperature, making the house very cosy during a cold spell. Would recommend this property if you wish to visit Stratford on Avon and the Cotswolds. Mickleton village nearby, is a lovely friendly place and we recommend the Kings Arms for Sunday lunch, but you do need to book, because it is very popular by the locals.

  • "A wonderful stay in a lovely holiday home."

The reviews are accurate - probably the best equipped cottage we have stayed at. Wi-Fi is ok but mobile reception can be temperamental. Some would say that’s a positive! Excellent location with many key sites and attractions within 20-30 mins drive. Waitrose is 10-15 mins drive and there is a local convenience store and pub up the road. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thanks to Sarah for the messages and the owners for having us.

  • "This is a wonderful house in a lovely location."

We stayed with our toddler and 6 week old baby and it was perfect. There is loads to do within an hour's drive and the local village has a good pub, playground and shop. The only negative is that it isn't dog friendly, but we still had the best week leaving the dog at home. We would definitely stay here again.

  • "Oakdene cottage certainly lived up to our expectations, with a bottle of bubbly and biscuits on arrival."

Modern property with all mod cons, and in a central position for visiting cotswold villages and just seven miles from Stratford upon Avon. The cottage is about three to four years old according to a neighbour, internet speed is slow but that’s due to village position. But we enjoyed so much we’re going to book oakdene again for next year.

It was a beautiful house, with everything you could possibly need for your stay, well maintained and even a thoughtful welcome gift. A beautiful setting, with many places to visit nearby, or just to chill in the beautiful garden. Sarah was in contact from the moment we booked, until we arrived and happy to answer any questions we may have. We would definitely consider returning, as it’s such a beautiful house and an ideal base for exploring.

It's a very clean and comfortable house with excellent, modern facilities and furniture and a relaxing sense of space both upstairs and down - in fact all one could possibly need for cooking, resting and sleeping well after a good day out. An excellent location for Cotswold touring, too. Ten out of ten!!

Many thanks for the wine, biscuits, tea bags, etc. Two small points - no visitors book (useful for other visitors comments re places to visit etc). Internet strength was okay but tended to be slow at times, especially when streaming. If you like feeding birds take some bird seed - there are feeders and lots of birds but no food was available. We purchased our own! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if returning to the area.

  • "Our stay at Oakdene was fantastic!"

The holiday cottage has everything you could possibly need to ensure a great stay including books, board games, and cleaning supplies. Oakdene was spotlessly clean on arrival as well as a lovely welcome pack which was a nice, personal, touch. The cottage has an information booklet with useful contact details and local amenities and attractions which proved to be very useful. One thing, however, and it's not an issue - if anything, it was a pleasant surprise - we did not know that there was lovely garden furniture at Oakdene as the pictures did not show this, so we brought our own. Hopefully, this will save unnecessary luggage for someone. Overall, this was a superb stay and I would highly recommend anyone thinking about visiting the Cotswolds to stay at Oakdene.

It was lovely to come into the house each day after walking in the cold January air to a cosy and warm environment. The temperature set as default were probably a little on the hot side and maybe a minor adjustment would make it perfect. The games and entertainment were very good and the smart tv was ideal. The surrounding area at Upper Quinton was lovely and we did a couple of walks from the house. With regards to the utensils etc in the kitchen, virtually everything you would want was provided with the exception of egg cups. It was so enjoyable a stay we would definitely book again when staying in the area. Thanks for a great week and the welcoming goodies.
