  • "The post code you provide with direction is wrong, you need to amend this as it directs you to completely wrong road and we had trouble finding the property."

Property is very nice. Very warm. Could do with a coffee table, blinds at kitchen windows and bathroom and some pictures and homely touches, it just feels like someone just moved in and that's it. Apart from that we loved the area and nice relaxing break!

  • "We could not fault the cleanliness and equipment at Oakdene."

The house has been given a great deal of thought to make a stay there most enjoyable. We were there for a fortnight , mid holiday the cleaner came to change all the linen and towels. She was delightful, cheery and friendly. The cottage is in easy reach of many interesting places. If you are a gardener do visit Fosse Way garden centre. It is amazing. For bric a brac lovers the barn on Long Marston Rd and on the way to Mickleton are a must. Should you run out of anything you need the Londis and Premier stores do their best to provide. We had a most enjoyable holiday and we’re lucky to have wonderful weather.

Everything was great, the only minor criticism was the cleanliness was not quite as good as last year’s stay as regards the kitchen, but nothing major that would stop us from returning. The bottle of fiz was very welcome. Overall a lovely house in an excellent location for visiting Stratford and the local area. Thank you from the Ferrier Family

  • "We had a very comfortable stay at Oakdene."

The property is in a very pretty, peaceful location and offers well equipped and well maintained accommodation. It is not, however, on Meon Close as Sykes directions tell you. It is on the main road through the village. The access in and out of the property is right on a bend and it is difficult to see if traffic is coming in either direction. We had tickets for a couple of nights at the RSC and it was easy to get in and out of Stratford - about a 15 minute drive. We also visited a few NT properties in the area and some beautiful villages within a short drive from the property. All in all a lovely stay and lots to do in the area.

Inside it was perfect, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very clean, comfortable beds and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking if you didn’t want to eat out. Garden furniture was a bonus as we had fabulous weather. There was just two of us but would be fine for a family of four or two couples. Will definitely return - a perfect property.

Lots of space but cosy. Private and secluded but in a nice spot in the village. Everything you need is provided and two toilets really helps. Busy bustling towns or quiet little villages are all on the doorstep. You can stay in and relax or go out all day. The parking is first class. A very nice and relaxing holiday.

It is the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed at; all the kitchen equipment you could possibly need (except for a salad bowl and spinner), and all the necessary under-sink items, including household cleaning sprays, washing machine tabs etc. provided. No need to bring anything at all. Just one suggestion: as the wall cupboards are quite high, a single step stool would be appreciated. Lots of places to visit within a 20-30 minute drive, and buses north to Stratford or south to the Cotswolds pass the door. Due to poor weather we didn’t have the chance to visit all the places we would have liked to see so we will definitely return to Oakdene as soon as we can. Very highly recommended.

Excellent location with many key sites and attractions within 20-30 mins drive. Waitrose is 10-15 mins drive and there is a local convenience store and pub up the road. Modern property with all mod cons, and in a central position for visiting cotswold villages and just seven miles from Stratford upon Avon. The cottage is about three to four years old according to a neighbour, internet speed is slow but that’s due to village position. The holiday cottage has everything you could possibly need to ensure a great stay including books, board games, and cleaning supplies. Oakdene was spotlessly clean on arrival as well as a lovely welcome pack which was a nice, personal, touch. The cottage has an information booklet with useful contact details and local amenities and attractions which proved to be very useful. One thing, however, and it's not an issue - if anything, it was a pleasant surprise - we did not know that there was lovely garden furniture at Oakdene as the pictures did not show this, so we brought our own.
