  • "This is a well appointed house badly let down by the levels of cleanliness."

It seems that it's primarily set up as an HMO. This wasn't in the property description. I think the owners need to decide which route they want to take as the HMO and holiday markets are very different. There were a long list of cleaning issues when we arrived. I took photos of some but can't see any way of uploading them. There were: Bits of food in both kitchen sinks and on the washing up brush. Dirty, burnt, scratched pans in the cupboard. Filthy mugs in the cupboard. The kitchen tap was dirty. The kitchen cupboards, mirrors and shower screens were smeared and some bathrooms smelt of dirty cleaning cloths/mops. Surfaces, handles and floors felt sticky. The fridge and freezer had traces of food in them. The corners of some of the showers weren't clean. Some of the soap and shampoo containers were empty and didn't look clean. One bed didn't have a mattress protector and one pillow didn't have a protector. The outdoor furniture was dirty and there was a full ashtray on the table and cigarette ends under the table and chairs. We spent the first hour of our stay cleaning! I feel bad leaving such a long list but the owners have obviously spent a lot of money kitting out the property and it's let down by these issues. On a positive note the bed linen and towels are professionally cleaned and were spotless. One suggestion is to install a stair rail from the ground to first floor. The stairs treads are very narrow and it feels dangerous.

Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We really appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We're very sorry to hear about the standard of cleanliness you experienced on arrival. This is certainly not the level we aim to provide, and it's disappointing to hear that you spent part of your stay cleaning instead of settling in and enjoying the property. Your comments have been shared with our cleaning team, and we'll be carrying out a full review to ensure these standards improve immediately. We also appreciate the heads-up regarding the missing mattress and pillow protectors, the outdoor area, and the other points you've highlighted, as these are all things we can address. Thank you as well for your comments about the property itself, and we're pleased to hear that the bed linen and towels met your expectations. We also appreciate your suggestion regarding the stair rail. Thank you again for taking the time to provide such constructive feedback. Although we're sorry your stay started this way, your comments are invaluable in helping us improve the experience for future guests. Property Owner

  • "A lovely home, great location."

Could do with thicker curtains / blackout especially for children. Would have been better with access to a hoover or brush for us to tidy up better. Otherwise great stay thank you.

Good morning ,Thank you for the feedback. We have taken on board your comments, and we are pleased you have had a great stay! Property Owner
