  • "Anvil cottage is a lovely place to stay."

Roomy, comfortable and with good outside space. Having two bathrooms is a real plus. It is also in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. There’s good walking, access to lots of towns and villages, as well as National Trust properties.

Thank you so much for the amazing feedback. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope to welcome you back in the future. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Cottage is furnished to a high standard."

Beds and mattresses are very comfortable . Internal layout is very good and location was exactly what we were looking for. Only slight grouse is a departure time of 10.00. The cleaner turned up at 9.55! It would have been helpful to have an extra hour to pack and load the car as we had brought quite a lot of things with us so that we wouldn't have to cook, and the condition of rental was that beds had to be stripped and the cottage cleaned up prior to departure.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay and we're so glad you were happy with the cottage and location. We're so sorry about the departure time - this is standard for all our cottages as there needs to be adequate time for a deep clean and turnaround before the next guests. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

Hosts are so lovely and helpful - went above and beyond for us. If you want to stay in the area this is the best choice! The cottage had everything you need including a delightful little garden and while there is a garage next door it's an MOT garage so hardly a noise was heard. We didn't even notice them there. We will definitely return :-)

Location was great for many attractions and local countryside excellent for walking. Usual miss mash of pots, pans, cutlery very unusual for some one to actually think things through for the amount of people who may stay and their cooking and serving needs. Managed as usual. Hosts were helpful but not intrusive especially morning of departure when water to village was cut off and they supplied bottled water.

We appreciated the comfy and spacious bedrooms and enjoyed having breakfast in the conservatory on our first morning. Unfortunately, as we were only there Friday afternoon to Sunday morning and I spent 11 hours in A & E on Saturday we were not able to appreciate it as fully as we would have liked. The only minor point is that I couldn't find a tea strainer so couldn't drink the jasmine tea we had brought with us!

The cottage was spacious and fully equipped with everything that we needed for the long weekend. Little touches like a small pint of milk and tea bags so we could have a cuppa and candles that we could light in the evenings, just made it that little bit extra helpful and comfortable. We made use of the log burner/fire place and it was just super cosy, perfect for a winter getaway. The instructions to get to Anvil cottage and key collection were also super easy to follow and we made it there without any trouble.
