  • "The Annexe is a delightful property with gorgeous views of the gardens and an idyllic stream."

This setting provides a tranquil and relaxing environment with the chirping birds and sound of running water. Happily, we recorded 26 bird species on the Merlin app! The bedroom includes a very comfortable bed and a bathroom with an incredible rainshower (Note: Fantastic water pressure = Total bliss.). The pièce de résistance of the property is their stunning Living / Dining area. A large kitchen island suits us fabulously because we love to cook, wine & dine. The kitchen is well-provisioned and our special appreciation for the solid wooden chopping board and proper, sharp knives! The sofa and dining table are generously-sized and comfortable but we must confess to spending most of our time on that kitchen island! Kind and friendly owners who have wonderful recommendations on the local area. Will be very happy to return for a stay in their remarkable Annexe - Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us! P.S Great walking / hiking / running trails from property too.

  • "Would have given 5 star for everything, but just a few niggles but not major, no hot water but was resolved when I rang sykes, i."

E, electric switches where not working properly In bedroom & bathroom, ceiling light and bedside lamp kept flashing on and off, lots of switches In kitchen area, bit of a faff trying to find the right one!! and cobwebs under kitchen shelfs which my husband pointed out, but that Is down to the cleaner, hopefully will be resolved, but overall a loveley stay, and quality furnishings, and beautiful surroundings, a bit rural for us to walk Into the town, but overall a lovely few days and very peaceful.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay, appreciated the quality furnishings, beautiful surroundings, and found the property peaceful overall. We are sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the hot water and some of the electrical switches during your stay. We're pleased that the hot water issue was resolved promptly after you contacted Sykes. We also appreciate you bringing the lighting and switch issues to our attention, and these have been raised with the owner for investigation. Thank you as well for highlighting the cobwebs under the kitchen shelves. This is not the standard we aim to provide, and we will ensure this feedback is passed on to the housekeeping team for review. It's wonderful to know that, despite these minor issues and the rural location being a little further from town than you would have preferred, you still had a lovely and relaxing few days away. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

It’s also quiet and very peaceful and close all the favourite Cotswold villages and towns. David the owner was also very friendly and even shared a bottle of Provance Rose with us.

  • "The location was great, easy to get to, and the grounds were lovely, very picturesque."

Also, the silence was a blessing. You really felt that you were on your own but if you needed anything, the shops were only 12 minutes drive away. Our host was very friendly, and helpful, and gave us sufficient space so we felt alone but was at hand if needed.

We had the most perfect stay at The Annexe. It is wonderfully peaceful and the property itself is so beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. A truly exceptional break.
