  • "Just the job!"

    A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay. There is a lovely outside space to enjoy the breeze, the birds and the sky in the morning and evening. There's also a pub with good food and beer only five minutes away. A walking trail along the Windrush River is nearby too. And the Grain Store makes a great base for exploring the many wonderful towns, villages and grand houses of this part of Oxfordshire. So it's fair to say we loved our stay!

  • "This compact, very well maintained and comfortable property is one of the best we have stayed in."

    It was ideal for two of us as we were out and about most of the day walking the local area and visiting Oxford. The village is delightful and friendly with the Bell Inn close by for food and drink.

  • "We had a comfortable 3 night stay."

    The place was cosy, compact, & well equipped to a high standard. The only thing was : no name or number on the property, we remembered the picture of the small dwelling from the Sykes website. We would like to stay there again, as there's lots to see in the area

  • "We have used Sykes Cottages many times & been very pleased with them."

    This cottage is the first one which provided absolutely everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean & the heating was great, particularly as it snowed during our visit. It is small but there is plenty of room for 2 people to be comfortable & enjoy their visit. The owners are extremely pleasant & helpful.

  • "The Grain Store was very well equipped and had everything you would need for a perfect stay."

  • "Faith was a warm and welcoming host."

    The property was clean and well appointed with a lovely treat on arrival. Situated in a cute Cotswolds village it was the perfect location for exploring rural Cotswolds & urban Oxford. The village was charming & the villagers also. The property had modern fixtures & fittings, it was small but perfect for a solo guest or couple. There is a Lidl nearby for groceries & plenty of places to eat out of preferred. Faith was very friendly and helpful with advice & tips on what to do during our stay and always said a cheery hello. Thank you for making our trip to the Cotswolds so comfy.

  • "The Grain store was very clean and comfortable and well equipped for a self catering break."

    There was tea, sugar, coffee and a bottle of milk and even a bottle of preseco and biscuits waiting for us.The owners Faith and Mike were very helpful. There is a pub round the corner and Witney with plenty of restaurants and pubs is just a short drive away. The cottage is well placed for visiting Oxford and the Cotswolds. Excellent.

  • "Beautiful cottage, very modern clean interior with everything you need including tea/coffee facilities."

    The owners kindly left extras of wine, biscuits and milk to help us start our holiday which was a nice touch. The cottage is well situated for visiting the surrounding beautiful villages. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Off-road parking greets you on arrival, before making your way through the inviting courtyard, an ideal place for your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, and into the home.

Inside, the open-plan living space welcomes you to cook, dine and unwind, with a cooker, fridge, TV and a selection of books.

From here, make your way upstairs to a bright and airy double room to catch some rest, before freshening up in the en-suite shower room and setting off to discover Oxfordshire.
