  • "A very pleasant stay."

Peter the owner couldn’t be more helpful. Very secluded and peaceful location. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever experienced in any hotel, airbnb or similar. Cooker took a little getting used to and the living room would have benefited from a wood burner or similar and not relying on the underfloor heating which as a guest you had no control over. The staircase would prove tricky for those with mobility issues, but it’s the only way to access the game’s room and the second en-suite bedroom. The other bedroom is on the ground floor. Couldn’t work out if the unpainted plaster walls were meant to be left like that, but the barn was clean if not having a not quite finished look about it. Overall would recommend. Certain area’s did resemble a junk yard behind the second barn with old cars and trailers left abandoned. Overall would recommend for a peaceful stay.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We're glad you loved the comfortable beds and the peaceful location. We have included a photo of the stairs on our website, together with a description which we hope does provide sufficient information if any guests have mobility issues. Thank you for highlighting some issues which we have passed on to the owner. This property is located on a working farm and recently a Roman kiln was discovered in one of the fields. The owner is hoping to open a museum with all the artefacts he has already collected and which will soon be on display. We would love to welcome you again. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "When we arrived we were met by Peter, who showed us around and gave us some history about the property and area."

The Long Barn was the perfect venue for our week stay and we would be happy to stay there again. We were a party of four adults and two dogs and it was the perfect place for us all to spend time together. Our days were filled with walks and the evenings with games of pool in the games room.
