Sam and the team at ABC were great too - there was a minor issue at check in, and they sorted it quickly and thoroughly, with grace and generosity. Thank you.

V comfortable accomodation above a lovely village pub.

We had no problems with intrusive noise. Everything in the flat worked fine although the WiFi was erratic, which didn't bother me but might be an issue for some. Staff in the pub and marina couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The pub only does food at weekends; the dilshad in the village is recommended!

Great location, fantastic pub and a lovely accommodation, plus Alvechurch village - what’s not too like

This is a very old property it has creaky floors and a step up or down depending which room you enter from the landing.

The entrance stairs aren't as difficult as we thought they were going to be just a bit steeper and an awkward turn at the bottom. Property very clear and a very comfy bed. The living room suite is ok for daytime but uncomfortable for evening relaxing. The WiFi is bad continually cutting out and having to be reset. We managed to set off the smoke alarm on Sunday morning. It will not reset itself. The pub manager had to be called out to reset it in the pub we had to hold a pillow over the alarm for nearly an hour. There is a washing machine but nowhere to dry clothes. Maybe swap for a dishwasher it would be more useful. Sunday lunch at the pub was good but for the tiny piece of beef on the plate. About 3 inches by 2. Expensive veg. Some of these issues have been pointed out in the past. The description points out possible noise from the pub. We didn't expect a lot of noise on two evenings until past midnight. On a better note all of the staff we met were excellent. Local walks along the canal lovely I would recommend that the owners live in the property for a week and recognise its shortcomings. If these things were fixed it would be a much better place to stay. This is our honest opinion.

As this is an older building, some features such as creaky floors and varying floor levels are part of its original structure. We understand this may not suit everyone’s preferences, and we will review whether this could be better highlighted in our property description. We are sorry to hear about the Wi-Fi reliability and the discomfort you experienced with the living room furniture.
