  • "The cottage itself and its surrounding area are beautiful."

    Great open plan living and dining space to host friends and family with even better outside space - with the hot tub being a great addition. The pot holes along the long drive up to the house need to be addressed as these were pretty deep and there were many of them that could do some damage. The kettle could do with being larger as it was more travel size and some plastic cups to use outside (especially when in the hot tub) would have been useful. Overall a really pleasant stay.

  • "Had a very good stay."

    Lots of cutlery,plates, mugs etc. Comfortable chairs to relax on. Garden big enough for children to run around. Our dog could not get out. Hot tub was great. You will have a great time at Cuckoo Pen Cottage. Beautifull views. Can be hard to find. Only 1 sign to say where it is. Should have a few more signs up to show where the house is.

  • "We had a fab time at Cuckoo Pen Cottage."

    It was a beautiful house, nicely furnished, with plenty of space to spread out, and the hot tub was great, too. Stayed as a group of 5 friends celebrating birthdays. We found the house fine (use the full address, not just the postcode is our tip!) and Nicola gave us a friendly welcome and farewell when we left as well. It is a 10-15 min drive to nearby towns if you want a wander and a coffee out somewhere but you can also take a walk directly from the house on footpaths nearby and there are a few pubs nearby too. Due to the more remote location, there is peace and quiet at the property, and all we could hear were the cows, birds, and occasional tractor which was perfect as we did lots of relaxing and sitting outside. We also managed to get an Indian takeaway delivered to the door from the restaurant in Cleobury Mortimer. We have all said we would return again. Thank you!

  • "Beautiful country home."

    Wonderfully and comfortably decorated included roll top baths, a wood burning fire and of course the hot tub. Perfect for our multi generational family weekend away. The road leading up to the house has quite a lot of large potholes which are difficult to negotiate in a normal car but was OK taken slowly and carefully.

  • "We were a party of 8 celebrating our friends 50th birthday."

    The communication in the run up to our stay was exceptional. The cottage is simply stunning, spacious, clean and well equipped. The views are beautiful and the hot tub was fabulous and so peaceful. A great place to relax! We were constantly talking about planning our next stay here in the future- wouldn't hesitate to return. The oven took a bit of getting used to. Turn it on well in advance of needing to use it. Our only issue was (and this has nothing to do with the property or owners but worth a mention!) The road access directly to the property is terrible. Dreadful potholes which was made worse for us during heavy rain and a time of local flooding. Small cars will struggle! If you have a good 4x4 you have nothing to worry about! We had the best time there!

  • "Absolutely beautiful house and extremely comfortable."

    Very helpful host. As not close to amenities would be helpful to have additional bin bags and toilet roll. Or advise these are not in the house so can bring. Would 100% recommend and would love to revisit in the future.

    It is decorated beautifully and really was home from home - it was fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay perfect and the property was super clean. All bedrooms have fantastic views and the beds and linen were so comfortable! Early morning hot tubs watching the sunrise was magical as were the sunsets - we created some fabulous memories and will definitely come back ✨

  • "A lovely place to stay, the views are amazing looking across the hills."

    Very clean and comfortable. As it is next to a working farm we would see the cows walking up the road for their daily milking. The garden is huge and fully enclosed all the way round so the dog was safe and no worries of him getting out and playing with the cows. Definitely coming back to this picturesque home.

  • "A great holiday let."

    Furnished to a very high standard, and in a lovely quiet country setting. Our 2 dogs loved the large fully enclosed garden. Host were great and responded to any enquiry we had. The hot tub was lovely. I would highly recommend

  • "Cuckoo pen cottage We had a family easter break to cuckoo pen cottage and it was fantastic."

    The host Jack was more than helpful , the house was immaculate and in a stunning setting . It has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to self cater . The bedrooms are all of a good size and the king-size with ensuite is huge. The beds were super comfy . Would definitely stay again. The only thing about the house is it is in the middle of nowhere I mean top of a hill with only 2 other properties. So pub and shop is a 10 minute drive or if you prefer about a 45 minute walk which isn't the end of the world .

Tenbury Wells is a charming, ancient market town situated on the banks of the River Teme in Worcestershire. Dating back to the Iron Age and said to have been called 'my little town in the orchard' by Queen Victoria, Tenbury Wells boasts a unique 18th century bridge built by Thomas Telford, the magnificent Pump Rooms, which housed baths where local mineral water was available, and many other listed buildings dating back to the 17th century. This bustling town has many individual shops, traditional pubs, cafes and tea rooms and plays host to many festivals throughout the year notably the Applefest in October and Holly and Mistletoe around Christmas. It is home to weekly craft and farmers’ markets and a fully restored Art Deco cinema with a full programme of events. Ludlow, with its famous castle, is one of the most beautiful towns in Britain offers a medieval street pattern, which remains almost intact and provides an amazing backdrop for the town's regular markets.
