  • "My wife has mobility issues (arthritus)."

The owners were very helpful in providing an entrance ramp. However my wife still had issues with the step entrance to the en-suite shower, the height of the beds, and the lowness of the sofas in the living room. I realise my wife's problems are fairly specific, but we would not have booked this cottage had we known what we know now. We have decided to cancel our proposed stay at a Sykes Cottage in Bournemouth next year for these reasons.

Thank you for your feedback. We were happy to help with providing an entrance ramp immediately. Overbrook is a spacious, well appointed bungalow but we are sorry if it wasnt suitable for yourselves. Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable and well-equipped bungalow."

Very spacious with plenty of seating, and very clean. We appreciated having the large fridge-freezer in addition to the kitchen fridge. Washing machine was great, but no tumble dryer. Delicious fudge was left for us! However there was no other welcome items. We are also accustomed to having some cooking essentials provided (there was a little salt, but no pepper, cooking oil, foil or cling film). The ensuite shower was powerful with constant hot water. We also noted that the bungalow was lovely and quiet inside and out with barely any farm noise. We enjoyed being on the farm, seeing the cows and sampling the ice cream! We also enjoyed our complimentary visit to the Fun Farm! Overall we had a lovely family holiday here, the only improvement I would suggest would be to offer inclusive access to the Fun Farm for families staying here as our children wanted to go every day!

We are glad to hear you had a great stay and we will certainly take your feedback on board. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely lovely place to stay."

The beds were comfortable, plenty of seating for all of us. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of everything. The only slight let down was the noise of the bio generator which meant we couldn't have the windows open at night as it kept us awake but thus really was a small niggle and we would rather save the planet than moan about it! The farm cafe served delicious food and ice cream which was lovely to have on the doorstep. We would definitely stay again and would recommend Overbrook.

  • "Overbrook is a well proportioned bungalow with good facilities located in a lovely rural setting."

The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and equipment. The TVs in lounge and kitchen are smart, with the usual apps. The beds were firm (too firm for our tastes), heating and water is efficient and the showers work well. The garden is quite basic but there are lovely views of the sunset. The working farm has a cafe and a soon to open extended kids play area. The cafe isn't open all the time except in peak season. There are some lovely walks from the nearby village of Salwarpe, including along the Droitwich Canal, nice and flat for the less mobile. Being a working farm, you may get some noise from farm machinery at times and the biomass boiler does make a little noise 24/7. There is tea, sugar and instant coffee in the kitchen but you will need to provide anything else, including cooking oil and don't expect a bottle of milk as shown on the website images. The owners were friendly and happy to sort out any problems (we had a lot of noise due to delayed farm work, but this was compensated for when we raised the issue). Overbrook is well located for visiting the many towns, gardens and stately houses in the area and shops are only a 5 minute drive away. There is plenty of parking for 2-3 cars. We would have rated it as 4 but the disruption during our stay, not advised in advance and even with compensation takes it to a 3. We were assured this disruption would end imminently, so future visitors should be OK.

We are glad that you had a lovely break and also took the opportunity to visit the wonderful Worcestershire countryside. We do apoligise for the evening when , unknown to us, a delayed delivery arrived late with no warning .Luckily it was a one off ! Property Owner

!! The cottage was absolutely perfect, and had everything we needed. Super dog friendly! We loved how you even provided spare dog bowls, poo bags and had an outside hose (which came in very handy after a muddy walk through the Maise Maze! The property was beautiful and the neighbouring cows so curious and friendly :) Would 100% recommend and definitely come to stay again!! Just a minor suggestion, it would be great if the property had an outside solar light just so that you can see where you are walking in the dark (it may already have one but we couldn't find it). Alternatively, a note for people coming to stay, bring a torch :)

Thank you for a great review and it sounds like you had a lovely break. We have taken your comments on board and an new outside light has been installed. Property Owner

  • "Overbrook is a lovely, clean, spacious, and well equipped cottage sited on Churchfields family farm."

It has the most wonderful views. We were very lucky with the weather for a holiday in March so we did a couple of lovely walks starting from the farm and went along the Droitwich canal which runs close by. It is possible to get into both Bromsgrove/Droitwich and Worcester itself by bus from the top of the farm lane ( 3 buses per hr) but it is a good 20 minute walk. The train station is also close by should you fancy a day in Birmingham. Hanbury Hall NT worth a visit and The Black Country Museum at Dudley was only a 30 minute drive away. Churchfields itself has plenty to offer if you have young children to occupy. Plus a good ice cream parlour which is all made onsite using it's own dairy herd. Would definately use this accommodation again.

Lovely decor throughout and everything you could need to hand. Lots of extra touches eg garden games, board games, books, fresh farm milk. The kitchen is the best equipped we've seen with a spacious utility room full of loads of other things too, including an extra American fridge freezer. All rooms are large! Welcoming and friendly hosts and farm staff who allowed us use of the farm's facilities for free. Farm shop and ice cream parlour on site plus activities for kids (maze, fairy tale trail, go-karts etc). We got to see the cows being milked and the kids loved having the cows right next to our garden, where you see great sunsets. Even got to see the newborn calves. Whilst on a farm, you are tucked away at the far end so no trouble with noise etc. Hosts always on hand if you need anything. Well positioned for various days out eg Worcester, West Midlands Safari Park, Warwick Castle, Stratford. A great jungle adventure golf just down the road. Lots of eateries nearby.
