  • "Best equipped self catering cottage we've ever stayed at."

    A stylish but still homely-feeling property. Great to have a combi-boiler so that hot water is always available.Parked car directly outside and it stayed there for 4 days as we walked and used the train. Just for information, the bathroom does not have an electric shaver socket and, although there are bus stops down on the main road ,apart from school buses, there are no buses into Great Malvern.Neither of these affected enjoyment of our stay. Excellent place to stay if you want to go on evening walks to experience the gas powered lamp posts along the Wells Road and one nestled in the woods up nearby Pixie Steps.15 min stroll through woods to The Cottage in the Woods for afternoon tea treat. Great property. Highly recommended.

  • "A lovely little house, warm and very well equipped."

    It's in a great spot as the Pixie Steps are very near and walking up them takes you to a friendly pub with good food, The Wyche Inn, and you are at the intersection of the hills with the Beacon to the right and the British Camp to the left. Astounding views from there. (I only didn't give 5:stars for comfort as the sofa in lounge is very hard) The host was easily contactable on the phone. Great Malvern is a fab town. Lovely bars and shops. Will go again.

  • "Overall happy with our stay at Holly Cottage."

    .well placed with a wonderful view and as a base to explore the surrounding areas. It was warm with programmed heating controls and comfortable beds/bedding and nice homely touches. We found that the kitchen had everything we needed and appreciated milk being left in the fridge along with a packet of biscuits. However we were disappointed to find that the 3 small oven trays were dirty. We washed one in order to be able to use it and left the others as well as a bowl which was already chipped with a note, on leaving, for the cleaners. We didn't find the blue sofa at all comfortable to sit on and had difficulty viewing the rather small sized wall mounted tv.

  • "Hi Andy and Debbie just arrived home for our short break at holly cottage what a lovely cottage over looking some great view ,we arrived and the cottage had everything we needed from linen to kitchen wear, was clean through out and very homely."

    didn't venture up the garden steps ( to wet ) but in all our stay was pleasant and everything catered for,( i did received the communication from yourselves but couldn't reply) in all your cottage made out holiday stay a happy one. thank you. Mr Mrs fields.

  • "A lovely property set above and off a quiet road with far reaching views."

    House warmed up quickly when needed. A small plumbing issue (leaking tap) was reported and quickly resolved. Well equipped with everything from maps, jigsaws and games to every conceivable kitchen utensil. Lovely to be able to walk into Malvern and/or into the hills. The neighbours were friendly and helpful. The garden was steep and afforded even lovelier views when sitting on the terrace with morning coffee - the autumnal colours were stunning. The Railway Inn was in walking distance, was friendly and provided huge Sunday lunches at a reasonable price.

  • "The cottage was very well kitted out, we found we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay."

    Really enjoyed the location and being able to walk into Malvern. Very useful information provided in the guest book with local attractions. Enjoyed the Morgan Factory visit and the Malvern Theatre.

  • "What a great cottage !"

    It has everything you need for a home from home . The bed is so comfy! The views though … breathtaking which are best observed from the upper outside seating areas my personal favourite part

  • "The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped."

    There was no problem parking on the road in front of the property and we enjoyed our stay. Our only slight negative was access to the upper garden levels was a bit overgrown and the wooden stairs and handrails didn't seem too sturdy which was a shame as the views from there are amazing.

  • "A lovely little cottage with fantastic views and everything to make it a home from home except for the bedrooms."

    As we all have age related slight mobility issues we found the mattresses and pillows a little 'bouncy' and lacking in support and having to get out of bed to switch the light on and off during the night was concerning but could see that there was no space for a bedside table in the blue room. Perhaps a wall light with a pull switch above the headboard would solve this problem?

We are due to have a unit installed behind the bed to allow for lights and drinks too but the carpenter was delayed. We hope it wasn’t too inconvenient and didn’t mar your holiday too much.   • "This is a lovely little cottage, perfect for exploring Malvern and the surrounding areas."

    Incredible views from the property and walking trails within minutes from the front door. Very nicely decorated and maintained and well stocked with kitchen equipment. Worth knowing that the garden terrace isn't easily accessible if you have a fear of heights or any mobility issues and would not be suitable for letting a dog roam around in. We really enjoyed our stay and if we return to Malvern, we would happily book here again.

  • "Holly Cottage delivered on everything I was looking for."

    Debbie kept me informed when there was a reported water leak which, luckily was quickly fixed. She was also very quick at fixing a problem. I would have no problems at recommending this property to anyone looking for a stay in the Malverns.

  • "The cottage is beautiful,has everything you could need."

    It's clean, homely and beautifully decorated. The views are out of this world and parking extremely easy right outside the property. It's a good 1.5mile walk into town which has everything you need. Would highly recommend. Thank you

Holly Cottage is a delightful cottage situated in Malvern, Worcestershire.

GREAT MALVERN

Ledbury 7 miles; Worcester 10 miles; Hereford 23 miles.

Great Malvern is an excellent centre for both long and short holidays. Its unique history, dramatic countryside and close proximity to numerous places of interest offer plenty for all visitors to discover. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Malvern Hills form a 9-mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and spectacular views in all directions.

Other outdoor activities available include high ropes, climbing and abseiling and fishing and river cruises are available nearby. A number of National Trust properties, gardens and vineyards are within easy reach. Great Malvern has many individual shops, cafes, art galleries and restaurants and a luxurious spa. Great Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills.

The town holds antique and craft fairs, farmers’ markets and many auctions throughout the year, as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. Malvern Theatres has an extensive programme throughout the year including productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company, musicals, and dance, to world-renowned musicians and orchestras; the associated cinema screens new releases.

In June Ledbury hosts an annual Poetry Festival. For the motor enthusiast the Morgan Motor Company is within walking distance of the cottage and, on the hills, Eastnor Castle’s summer events programme includes the Land Rover Experience. It is just a short drive to the Three Counties Showground which hosts regular events – most notably RHS Malvern (May), The Royal Three Counties Show (June) and the Malvern Autumn Show (September). Worcester, one of the Three Choirs Festival cities, is within easy driving distance as are Tewkesbury, Hereford and the Wye valley.

Easy access to the M5 and M50 motorways brings other places within reach such as Gloucester with its historic dockyard, Monmouth and the Forest of Dean, and Cheltenham and its festivals. Convenient rail and bus links enable days out without a car. A great holiday destination at any time of year.
