  • "The cottage was perfect for us and our dogs."

    Inside was spacious, well equipped and everything clean. A basket of welcome goodies was appreciated and the dogs were also provided for. The cottage was at the very end of a lane, surrounded by fields, with plenty of fenced in space so the dogs were safe. The only outside sounds were of sheep in the distance and birds. Best nights sleep in ages! But just a 10 minute drive to Malvern or to Upton Upon Severn in the other direction, 20 minutes to Tewksbury. Lots of nice walks in the area, with several footpaths directly from the cottage. We hope to book this place again.

    Found at the top of a lane with fields all around. Just as described on the website. Lovely and clean and the kindness of leaving treats for both us and the dog was very thoughtful. Would love to stay there again at some point.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Southend."

    It was a quiet and relaxing place to be with secure outside space for our two dogs which they loved. The barn is very clean and tidy, comfortable and is very well equipped. There are lots of places for dog walks close by- a big thank you to the gentleman who looks after the surrounding grounds who told us about areas we could walk the dogs as the public footpaths all have stiles which meant our large dogs couldn’t access them. St. Wulfstan’s Nature Reserve was excellent for dog walks. Southend is perfectly positioned as a base to explore the local area and there was so much to see and do. We were very lucky, having glorious weather during our week away, so the furnished outside space was very welcome. We would certainly stay here again.

  • "Southend is a little gem tucked away at the end of a lane."

    Everything you need has been provided, it's cosy and beautifully maintained. Outside is enclosed and perfect for our doggo to be safely contained. We loved exploring the many footpaths which lead directly from the property, the Malvern Hills are a short drive away. Good walking everywhere. Thank you.

  • "The accommodation was first class."

    Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners have gone the extra mile to make everyone including the dog feel welcome. The barn is situated in a very quiet area,ideal for a relaying break but gives easy access to surrounding towns. We absolutely loved it.

Boasting a prime location on the fringes of the breathtaking Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this delightful retreat is ideal for a couple or two friends seeking a tranquil escape. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with the convenience of secure off-road parking.

The property is enclosed and also features a furnished outdoor seating area where you can relish in alfresco dining while observing the local wildlife, including bees, butterflies and sheep that visit the large open fields. Step indoors to be welcomed into the open-plan living space, complete with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table for four, and a plush seating area, with direct vistas across the surrounding fields; on cooler evenings, watch the sun set with the electric fire alight. At the end of the night, retire to either of the two bedrooms; a king-size and a twin bedroom, both serviced by a sleek shower room. The thriving village of Welland lies south east of the magnificent Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, with a Post Office, village shop and its very own family-run vineyard, producing award-winning wines which can be purchased directly from the owners. Castlemorton Common provides many lovely walk and cycle rides, part of which is a designated SSSI due to its vast array of wildlife, flora and fauna. The beautiful Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the hills form a nine mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and long distance views in all directions. The town holds antiques fairs, WI country markets, farmers’ markets and many auctions throughout the year, as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. The Malvern Theatre welcomes productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Fishing and river cruises are available nearby and there are National Trust properties and gardens to visit in the area. Malvern has many individual shops, cafes, art galleries and restaurants, a luxurious spa, and is also home to the Three Counties Showground. Malvern is the home of the Morgan car, which makes this area popular with enthusiasts. The pretty town of Upton upon Severn lies on the banks of the River Severn and boasts a variety of delightful 17th century buildings and attractive shops, including The Pudding Shop, traditional inns and cafes and its very own museum. It also plays host to many annual festivals, including Jazz, Folk and Blues Festivals, as well as the Sunshine Music Festival. This small, thriving town has its own marina, a vineyard and a well-stocked farm shop at the local fruit farm, plus the town’s medieval church, which is now a Heritage Centre, is topped by a striking 18th century cupola, known locally as The Pepperpot. The picturesque Forest of Dean, with its range of attractions, is only 30 miles away, and the cathedral city of Worcester and waterfront city of Gloucester are also close by.
