  • "Our hosts were very welcoming and gracious."

They went above and beyond to help us during our stay. The cottage is charming, and the location is perfect. Beautiful views of Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre.

  • "If your looking for a comfortable and very relaxing holiday Woodleigh Cottage is the place to stay."

Loved this cottage which offered stunning views. Kitchen was well stocked and Eleanor's presentation of an arrival food hamper was the most generous we've ever received anywhere. Still missing her home made bread and marmalade. Plenty of space for all. Local community were very friendly and the Cottage is in an ideal position to take in the stunning Antrim coast. For me accommodation plays in central role in holiday satisfaction, and Woodleigh Cottage delivers.

  • "Woodleigh cottage was even better than we had expected."

Beautifully situated with amazing views of the Antrim coast (in all weathers!) and convenient for nearby Ballycastle. We were able to explore all the local attractions from this base. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the cottage which allowed us to escape from our teenaged sons! Beds were luxuriously comfortable, kitchen had everything you could need and plenty of storage space. 2 sitting rooms and a dining room provided plenty of living space along with the neat garden (as weather allowed). Eleanor met us on arrival and gave plenty of information about the cottage and area. If we return to the region we would definitely book Woodleigh cottage again. Thank you!

Immaculate in cleanliness and high quality kitchen utensils. Beautiful garden. A magnificent welcome hamper that included my dietary requirements. Will definitely be back. Owners so very helpful but not intrusive. The best that we have experienced in Northern Ireland. Next time will book on their web page as did not experience Sykes helpful as we had to cancel our first two bookings of this cottage

The under floor heating was welcome in the sun room where we sat most of the time. Plenty of space and the kitchen was very well stocked, the welcome basket was over and above what we expected, very grateful. Views were gorgeous and Ballycastle was only a short drive. We managed to do the Causeway Coast, the cottage is situated in a brilliant location for this. Thank you to the wonderful owners, your cottage does you credit.

  • "We contacted Eleanor, the property owner prior to our arrival at the cottage and arranged our meeting time."

We were shown around the cottage and all the facilities available, including how to light the wood burner stove. Eleanor had also left us a welcome grocery starter hamper, including home made bread & marmalade. The cottage is very well presented and very well equipped, plenty of parking and a garden, BBQ etc to use if we wanted. All of the provided equipment and furnishings were of a very high quality, including the extremely comfy bed, it is quite obvious that Eleanor takes a lot of pride in the cottage for her customers. The location is superb, on the coast about 1.5 miles from Ballycastle which made for an excellent base for our touring around the area. Our wonderful views in the morning over the bay was of Ballycastle, Raithlin Island and on a couple of days a clear view of the Scottish Islands of Islay & Arran. We would highly recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to stay in the area, especially as both bedrooms have their own en-suite facilities.

There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the cottage - it really made a difference. The only reason we went through Sykes was that they held the rights over the reservation after a cancellation - we would have had no qualms about booking directly with our host.

  • "This was our first visit to NI."

We were late getting in, it was dark and wet. We found the cottage easily and the owner, Eleanor, was there and greeted us warmly. She walked us through the cottage, showing us the amenities for our use and how things worked. There was also a bulletin board in the kitchen with instructions and a book in the livingroom with restaurant listings and pamphlets of local sights. She had a welcome basket for us which included freshly made wheaten bread, homemade marmalade, eggs and other goodies plus milk and margarine in the refrigerator!! We asked about a nearby restaurant where we could get a meal and she said follow me. We followed her into town where she suggested a couple of places. The cottage was very comfortable from the cozy living room with a small wood stove to the sun room where we watched Lorenzo blow in! The beds were very comfortable and always hot water for showers. We highly recommend Woodleigh Cottage and if we are fortunate enough to return to this beautiful area we would stay at Woodleigh. Thank you Eleanor!
