  • "We had a lovely break at Stillwater which was an excellent location for exploring the Northern Ireland North coast."

    It was a brilliant base for our first visit to the area and the NW 200 road race. The cottage was a real home from home with everything you could imagine needing provided - even the camping chairs we had forgotten. Christine provided a delicious welcome hamper with lots of tasty local treats which was much appreciated. We are already planning our next visit.

  • "Communication before arrival was great."

    Breathtaking accommodation. We all fell in love. Absolutely spotless, and a genuine home from home. You need bin bags, they’re provided, washing tablets, sugar etc. That really does make all the difference and makes life so much easier when on your holiday. We were cosy in the house and the heating was perfect. Beds were great. Didn’t know there was an en-suite so that was a wee surprise. Location was perfect for us as we tend to head up Port Rush way so was ideal. My 4 legged pal wasn’t so keen on the stones in the garden. She hopped from the path over to the other paved square but was great she had outdoor space. There is road noise but for us mostly noticeable when the heavy goods vans drove by at baka 7am. It did waken us up, and I sleep with headphones in. This was literally the only negative. What would be good, is an air fryer (I know we’re never happy lol) but just to save putting an oven on for something that would be quicker to do in the air frier. Will definitely be booking this accommodation again. We’ve always been lucky with our cottages from Sykes and this one is right up there.

  • "The easiest way to reach Still Waters is via Bushmills Village, especially in the dark."

    It’s on a fairly new development of similar cottages, with ample & easy parking, on a main road in a beautiful rural setting, about 5 minutes by car from The Giant’s Causeway. Easy to spot that it’s an AONB. The house is very nicely designed & built, furnished & decorated to a high standard. We found our every need had been anticipated, with some really charming touches. There is a downstairs loo in addition to the family bathroom & en suite shower room. A very comfortable & clean home from home.

  • "Superb. This is a delightful and well equipped cottage in a perfect location for the most spectacular parts of the north Antrim coast."

    It has ample crockery and glassware. So many little extras to make your stay perfect. Great shower in the en-suite bathroom. Easy to communicate with owner. Only minor negatives are that the mattress in the main bedroom is not very comfortable and there is some road noise from the adjacent A2 main road but these are minor issues compared with all the positives so definitely 5/5. Highly recommended.

  • "This is easily the best equipped holiday cottage I've ever stayed in and I've been self-catering for 40+ years."

    The house is modern, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and warm. Christine, the owner, has thought of everything and was very helpful when info. was needed. The dog was more than catered for, even down to a bag of treats!! There was a very generous and useful welcome pack provided. The house information book was sensitively written, not a list of Do's and Dont's, but had the information needed and written by someone who was providing a service. I thoroughly recommend.

  • "Lovely property in a perfect location!"

    Located on the main route along the top coast we had easy access to all the places on our list to visit; Giant’s Causeway, Carrick a Rede, Mussenden Temple, Dunluce Castle, Ballycastle and Raithlin Island. There were also many other places we discovered down narrow, steep, hairpinned roads that dropped to small rugged coves or harbours. This whole area was more wild, rugged and wonderful than I had expected. The house is out in the countryside in a group of similar properties. Inside, the house was beautifully cared for and decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. It was comfortable, clean and spacious. All the extra bits we often take on holiday had been provided. The patio garden at the back was a sun trap for late afternoon evening relaxing, although it was right next to the main road and did get traffic noise. We had wonderful sunsets from the back bedroom window over the distant sea. The parking is arranged just in front of the house with other properties parking in a row facing their homes along the fence line. We enjoyed a trip to Bushmills distillery and the Bushmills Inn. We also ate at Gray’s just a couple of minutes drive down the road, which we really enjoyed. We arranged an Asda delivery on our arrival and popped into the Spar and Co-op in Bushmills when passing for extras. One day we headed to Belfast to the Titanic exhibition then on to The Gobbins Cliff Walk, both of which were excellent. There are many lovely looking beaches all along the coast Benone, Downhill, White Rocks, White Park Bay as well as Ballycastle. I imagine during the summer months these would be very popular. We chose to travel from Cairnryan to Larne with a two hour crossing time, which worked very well for us. I would happily return to Stillwaters tomorrow and do it all again!

  • "Wow ! Over many years of travelling in the UK and abroad, we have stayed in many different properties but nothing anywhere has come close to matching Still Waters."

    The location is fantastic as a base for exploring the stunning coastline and countryside of North Antrim. The facilities within the cottage, the comfort, the homeliness are all amazing and the extra little touches provided by Christine are very well thought out and much appreciated. Had we known in advance just how many extra bits Christine provides, we could have packed a lot less in to our car and still had everything we needed. We will be back and when we do go back we will choose our dates based on the availability of Still Waters.

  • "Had an amazing stay in Stillwaters."

    This house has everything you could need. The best equipped holiday let we've ever stayed in. The location is perfect for exploring Antrim's north coast. The enclosed garden was great for our dog too. The house is spotless and very modern. The owner was very friendly and left clear instructions and an information pack.   • "Christine was such a fabulous host."

    We arrived with our 2yr old to absolutely everything we could have needed. From fresh bread and eggs, to a stroller and travel cot. She even offered to purchase and fit a stair gate for us arriving! Incredible service. The house itself is amazing. So new, clean and cosy. Considering it is rental accommodation did feel like someone's home which was lovely. If you are going to NI, you simply have to stay at Stillwaters!

Bushmills is a village on the north coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is located 60 miles from Belfast and 11 miles from Ballycastle. The village owes its name to the River Bush and to a large watermill that was built there in the early 17th century. The village is best known as the location of the Old Bushmills Distillery which produces many varieties of whisky. Bushmills has a wide choice of eateries from coffee shops and licensed restaurants with several gift shops, galleries and varied retail outlets. The village is ideally placed on a crossing point for the river Bush and located on the designated Causeway Coastal Route. The town of Ballycastle is home to a golf course, a Blue Flag beach and a range of local shops and eateries for you to try out.
