This is a really lovely house, set in an incredibly quiet area but within easy reach of the centre of Derry.
The house is well-equipped (important to us as we'd flown to Belfast) with tea, coffee, foil etc. It is a great location for visiting Derry, the Inishowen peninsula (the Doagh Famine Village and Farrens Bar were highlights), Donegal and of course the Causeway Coast.
The house was very clean, well presented and comfortable.
The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. We would have perhaps liked a little welcome pack or info on arrival about the workings of the house and things to do in the local area.
The house was amazing.
The owner Caroline was wonderful. We would highly recommend this house! BUT..... Sykes cottages (you, the booking agent) are borderline fraudsters. You took the entire payment for our five night stay upfront. We needed to shorten our stay by one night and NOBODY, NOT ONE PERSON replied to our request to shorten our stay by one night. I emailed, texted and even called your office in England and NO REPLY. I was then told you don't refund or adjust bookings. WHAT?? I could book the most expensive hotel in the world and make an adjustment to my booking prior to staying. But you don't allow it? You were a horrible company to deal with. I hope someone reads this and books this amazing home through another agent. Your company should not be allowed in business with these shady practices.
