A lovely property!

Clean, warm and well appointed. Would definitely recommend to friends and family visiting the region.

We loved The Old Shop from the moment we arrived and had to use the car to shepherd the sheep!

Lovely comfy bed and sofas, fascinating views over to Donegal, and straightforward, easy-to-use showers made for a very relaxing stay. We were very grateful to the owners for their flexibility on dates, and it’s always good to know they’re close to hand. We’ll definitely stay at the Old Shop next time we visit Northern Ireland.

Gorgeous views, great decor, quiet and peaceful and wonderful hot tub with stunning views of the countryside and the hourly train in the distance. Thoughtful touches on arrival: wine, milk and biscuits. Books to read, comfy beds. We loved it!

This cottage is a wee hidden gem!

The place was spotless and we had a lovely welcome. Great location to loads of things to do. Jennifer and her husband were warming and welcoming. Would definitely stay again/highly recommend.

Cottage itself was lovely , hot tub was amazing after a day's walking, location was great , handy to Bellarina train station for trips to Londonderry short 10min dander takes you to peace bridge and into city.

Milk , biscuits and Wine much appreciated, only thing that let this place down was immediate impression on arriving, an abandoned scrap truck and abandoned farm buildings though there is signs they may be fixed up at a later date.

Old Shop Cottage was the perfect location for visiting the NW Coast with close proximity to all the main attractions.

The cottage and interior were beautifully decorated with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The view from the outdoor deck area was stunning looking across fields to Co.Donegal. Next time I'm back in the area I will definitely look to stay again and thank you to the hosts for making us feel so welcome.

The Old Shop was a fabulously set up property.

It provided everything for our stay. We especially enjoyed the view from the hot tub. Brilliant base from which to explore.

Whilst the cottage is compact it is well equipped and comfortable and was ideal for the two of us.

It might be a little cramped for 4. We did feel that the hot tub was rather dominant on the decked area and it detracted a little from the lovely view, particularly when sitting on the sofa facing the window. We enjoyed our week long stay and we particularly liked the peace and quiet of the area. The welcome gift of wine and biscuits was thoughtful and appreciated. Everything was very clean which was good.

The cottage is in a fabulous location.

Near to so many beautiful places to visit. The 11 miles beech down the road. Everything is accessible. The cottage is well equipped, very clean, beds exceptionally comfortable. Met the owners both lovely wanted to check everything was fine. We loved the cottage and the location made the stay just perfect.

We enjoyed our stay at the Old Shop.

It was a very well presented holiday cottage, very clean and well equipped. It was good to be able to contact the owners easily and great to meet you when you dropped by. We very much enjoyed using the hot tub after our days of adventure on beaches and walks on the coast; it was in good condition, easy to use and with a great view over the surrounding countryside. We were pleased to find that an indoor dining table has now also been added. This does make the living area a little tight, perhaps rearranging this space to include the indoor table as you enter the kitchen would help with this. We’d definitely consider returning and will recommend to friends and family.

Lovely quiet spot ideal for exploring the north coast.

The cottage was generally well appointed with lovely bathrooms and comfortable beds, but lacking a few essentials for 4 guests that the owner kindly rectified the first evening.

The cottage was lovely and the beds were very comfortable however we found the lack of a proper table and seating for the three of us together wasn't great and we had to bring the outside table inside so we could sit round it to play cards etc.

The hot tub was lovely after it was refreshed mid week but had not been very clean prior to this so it would be worth letting them know of your intentions to use it to ensure it is refreshed prior to your arrival.

The second time i have stayed at this property and I would highly recommend it, Situated over looking Magilligan village and beyond across Lough Foyle the Donegal mountains this is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area and further afield

Old Shop Cottage is beautifully positioned and the farmer hosts who live nearby were lovely - lots of sheep to keep us company and we enjoyed the tranquility of the landscape.

Very comfortable beds indeed and perfect for a holiday destination.

Beautiful cottage, quiet location in countryside.

Very clean on arrival, ample parking area. Well equipped. Super view from deck/hot tub. Owners very helpful if any problem arises. Appreciated the bottle of wine & biscuits left for us! No nearby pubs or restaurants.

Old shop cottage is in a lovely quiet location with lovely views across to county Donegal.

Giant’s Causeway is less than 45 minutes drive and it’s about a hour to Belfast. Cottage was spotless when we arrived. The owners stopped to say hello and were very friendly. Full instructions for all appliances are provided but all are easy to use.

Good base for visiting other coastal resorts. Perfect for peace and wonderful view. Very clean and comfortable. All mod cons. Little niggle over TV interference

Excellent cottage.

Rural setting but shop only a couple of miles down the road. The view from the decking and hot tub is amazing. Cottage had everything you could need. Agree that an information pack would be useful (eg regarding recycling/food waste/how washing machine works) but most other stuff is available on the internet nowadays so no stress. Beds super comfy and really appreciated the milk, wine, tea and coffee. Highly recommend and if ever back in Northern Ireland definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely break at the cottage, a good base for the beach and train station.

Everything was very clean and in really great condition.

The cottage was lovely, very well-equipped and immaculate - everything seemed new!

The situation was perfect for getting out and about around the wider area. It would have been helpful to have a file or handbook of local information, emergency numbers, instructions for equipment etc. We enjoyed a lovely week in tropical weather, so the dining area being outside was ideal for us.

Excellent stay in The Old Shop Cottage.

Superb location. Amazing cottage with everything you need. Nice touches with milk and wine in the fridge, and the basics of tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. It’s the small things that count. Did I mention the jacuzzi!!, the view across the fields or the bluetooth mirror speakers in the bathrooms. Can’t recommend enough. Will be back. Thank you Owen and Jennifer.

Some directions on the washer/dryer would have been helpful.

This cottage has a hight standard of furnishings and decor.

It was lovely to have 2 separate bathrooms. The beds were really comfy. Excellent mattresses. We brought the outside table and chairs inside as we wanted to eat at a table but this worked fine.

An excellently situated property with a wonderful unspoilt view from the balcony.

Very peaceful location and extremely clean. Overall, it was a perfect base to come back to after days out.

The cottage is beautifully finished to a high standard, very comfortable and well equipped with loads of space for a family of 4.

It was perfect for a quiet getaway with many days out within driving distance. The owner was on hand for any needs. (Not that we had any). The highlight of our stay was looking out over the beautiful countryside from the luxury of our own hot tub. I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful property.

Very clean and beds very comfortable. Very quiet area but so close to everything. Perfect for a relaxing time away.

Beautiful cottage- finished to a high standard with all necessary amenities.

Stunning views over local countryside and of the hills beyond. Perfect location for touring both this area in Northern Ireland and crossing the River Foyle via ferry to Ireland. Lovely to come back to chill in hot tub after a busy day sightseeing.

This property is just under a year old and with all the modern day amenities one could want.

Ideally situated for exploring the North Coast and County Donegal via the ferry at Magilligan Point this venue is perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay.

Excellent level of amenities - fully stocked kitchen and plenty of towels.

We really appreciated the brand new cot and high chair for our baby too. Very flexible check in and check out; it was a real help to come back for lunch before heading into our next destination. We enjoyed meeting the tiny baby lambs too!

This is a lovely cottage with fantastic views from the hot tub and a comfortable bed.

We stayed over Christmas and our hosts had decorated a tree, put a beautiful wreath on the door and left us some Christmas shortbread - thoughtful touches that were really appreciated. They were also very responsive and let us know that they were on hand if we needed anything. Thanks again for such an enjoyable stay.
