Shane's Cottage is an idyllic cottage situated midway between the towns of Falcarragh and Dunfanaghy in County Donegal.

This property is perfect for a group of friends wanting to get away from it all and have a lovely holiday together, as it boasts a woodburning stove, ground-floor and open-plan living, as well as gorgeous countryside views to admire.

Step foot into your new holiday abode and find everything you need for a delightful, self-catered stay with an electric oven and hob on hand for any cooking needs.

Make something scrumptious and plate it up on the dining table as you share some classic tales from the past to laugh at whilst you eat.

Once you’ve had your dinner, head outside with a drink to bask in the sun, should it be so kind to be out and about.

Take in the lovely view all around you and enjoy the golden tint the sunset adds to the sky.

Once the night time sky is upon you, head back in to enjoy the seating beside the fire.

Get warm by using the woodburning stove to give that blanket of heat, and find something for everyone to watch on the Smart TV.

Should you sense yourself about to nod off, call it a night on either the ground-floor double or single beds, unless you’d rather head upstairs to the other double, which has an en-suite, or the single room.

Once well-rested, start a new day off just right with a soak in the ground-floor bath or a refreshing shower.

A shop and a pub are short drives away for any essentials or a meal out.

For a riveting day out, head to Killahoey Beach or Falcarragh Beach, both accessible by car, for some amazing views whilst you splash about in the rippling waves.

If more adventurous, enjoy the nearby secluded Tramore Beach which can only be accessed by foot.

Have an amazing guide with Walking Donegal or amble through the glorious Ards Forest Park.

Muckish mountain is also nearby with walks and cycling options available near to the house including the new walking route along the former narrow gauge railway line.

In Downings, go on a hike with a twist by making new furry friends at Gáinne Mór Alpacas, see who comes out on top with at Rosapenna Golf Pavilion or take a pleasurable stroll around the Downings Harbour.

Glenveagh National Park is a short drive away for another pleasant day out.
