    It's a home from home with the best views and the beach on your doorstep. The beds are so comfy, it's quiet and cosy with the fire roaring at night.i can't say enough good things about this house. We will definitely be back in 2025

  • "Hillview is a beautiful property, spacious bright and very well equipped."

    Lovely welcome pack provided even with fresh flowers. Great views , even from the bedroom, we found it a relaxing comfortable space. The location is perfect, easy walking to the beach, bar, and the pretty town of Buncrana is also within walking distance. Golf course , pony trekking, water sports all within easy access. We will certainly be back again!!

  • "We enjoyed our stay in the very spacious house."

    It was very comfortable and felt like home from home. The garden was secure, great for the dog, and well kept. Very peaceful, and easily accessible from the main road. The location was lovely. Harbour Inn just 5 minutes walk did great food too. A lovely corner of Donegal, we hope to return to Hillview. Thankyou!

  • "From the time we entered the house on Saturday, the house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very modern."

    The food hamper was a lovely thought. The view from all the front windows was amazing, and just a few minutes from the sea, and great restaurants. Would highly recommend 12 Hillview. Hope to return something soon. Ps we had a dog with us and back garden was totally safe

    Walking distance to the beach which was great and the local hotel “The Harbour Inn “ was also within walking distance. A great central base to Derry and Letterkenny. Lovely view from the house. 12 Hillview is a contemporary, detached house with sea views in Ludden near Buncrana, County Donegal.

With spacious living areas and four bedrooms sleeping up to eight guests, this pet-friendly holiday home is a great base for families and friends, complete with an enclosed garden with barbecue, off-road parking, and easy access to the beach, golf courses, and historic attractions.

Be welcomed into the open-plan living space where you can cook in comfort in the well-equipped kitchen, dine at the table for eight, and relax in the sitting area fitted with an open fire and Smart TV.

A separate sitting room has a large bay window framing Lough Swilly, plus more cushioned seats, a Smart TV, and another open fire.

Completing the ground floor is a utility and cloakroom, whilst upstairs you'll find the family bathroom and four bedrooms.

Two doubles have en-suite shower rooms, along with two twin bedrooms, each thoughtfully furnished to suit a range of groups.

On summer days, dine outside in your private garden with a rustic barbecue area, outdoor seating, and surrounding trees making for a secluded spot.

You'll find The Harbour Inn for dining out and Buncrana Beach just down the road, as well as North West Golf Club for sea views while you play, and Buncrana is a short journey away.

Buncrana Pier is a popular fishing spot and a ferry will take you across the Lough to Rathmullan.

Heading further north, you'll find plenty of fascinating sights including Fort Dunree, a riverside trail to Glenevin Waterfall, idyllic beaches such as Tullagh Strand, and Doagh Famine Village, whilst the town of Letterkenny, home to The Regional Cultural Centre, is a short drive away.

The city of Derry is also a must-visit for the Museum of Free Derry, St Columb's Park, and the Riverwatch Aquarium.

With its sandy beaches and unspoilt scenery, Buncrana is one of Ireland’s most beautiful coastal destinations. The town offers a wide variety of activities and attractions, and with a rich passion for the Arts, and being renowned for its vibrant, artistic heritage, there are many art studios and traditional craft workshops to visit where you can pick up a piece of local design and craftsmanship as a reminder of your Irish holiday. The fantastic beaches scattered along the coastline are big attractions for families and they also cater for watersports enthusiasts with many water-based sports on offer. If you fancy exploring further afield, make the trip to the Doagh Visitor Centre where you can dive into traditional living and explore some of Ireland’s earliest dwellings, including sod and turf houses, and even sample some of the local food and herbal remedies from ancient times!
