Within Meenaneary, you'll find a post office and a pub to make use of, whilst travelling beyond Sleibhte Sliabh Liag, you'll reach the vibrant village of Carrick, filled with amenities, including Póg Mo Lón Caife and Doherty's XL supermarket.
Heading towards the coast, enjoy tranquil walks around Salmon Leap and Bunglass Point, whilst Slieve League is the perfect walking challenge for avid hikers, displaying a clifftop vantage point.
Other local beaches include Silver Starnd, Port, Muchross Head, Finta Beach, Portnoo or admire the dramatic fell at Asaranka Waterfall.
Nestled in the village of Teelin, aboard a Sliabh Liag Boat Trip, tour Teelin Pier, bustling with boat cruises, and climb Sliabh Liag Cliff Experience & Visitor Centre, offering guided tours of the region.
If you'd prefer an indoor activity, travel to Glencolmcille Folk Village, a charming museum, covering history from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, whilst both Rossan Point, and the Natural Heritage Area of Crocknamurrin Mountain Bog will offer panoramic views across both the coast and countryside.
To learn traditional Irish music there is Glen Fiddle School, and Kilcar Fleadh during summer or to study the language there is the renowned Oidas Gael.

This accommodation was absolutely exceptional.
The beautifully converted loft apartment above the owners' home was finished to an outstanding standard and had its own private entrance, offering both comfort and privacy. The beds were incredibly comfortable, each bedroom had its own modern en-suite, and the large flat-screen TVs were a lovely added touch. Everything about the accommodation was first class. Mrs Kennedy was a wonderful host—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Her extensive knowledge of County Donegal and recommendations for places to visit really enhanced our stay. We simply cannot rate this property highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday exploring the stunning scenery of South-West Donegal and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended. Thankfullly, a kindly local shop owner took it upon himself to lead us to the property. Upon arrival one bedroom was found not to have any hot water. Also there was only one bathtowel amongst the 3 bedrooms despite description stating towels would be provided....... tried to contact the number provided without success......and so had to purchase towels ourselves. Not happy
We spent 4 wonderful nights in Caitlin’s beautiful property, a lovely stay in the hills of Donegal.
The three bedroom apt with kitchen and sitting area was super comfortable and perfect for us. Everything felt like it was brand-new! Wonderful design and construction by Paddy in each room, all the special touches were appreciated. Thank you for the Donegal hospitality!

Please be aware there is an unfenced rocky outcrop at the rear of property that is 6-10ft in places and should not be accessed. Children must be supervised at all times.
No extra persons who are not listed in the initial party details are not welcome at the property unless agreed with the owner prior to stay.
Access to the property is via an off road track, please drive with caution as there may be small pot holes after any heavy rain.
Poor weather conditions may impact the electrics. In the event of a maintenance issue, due to how remote the property is it may take longer than usual for somebody to attend.
