Beautifully presented house with sea views.

Would highly recommend. Only a few minutes from Donaghadee town centre. Fully equipped kitchen, with all the fixtures and fittings - dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, separate fridge and freezer etc. 10/10

Outstanding, well-appointed and beautifully situated property, in easy reach of all the facilities and places of local interest in the nearby town of Donaghadee.

Ideally placed to explore the Ard peninsula, strangford Lough and nearby Belfast. We liked the house so much that we've booked it again for next year. Five stars.

Brilliant accomodation on two levels, well positioned with a lovely outlook out to sea and the lighthous/harbour area of Donaghadee, a short walk away.

Nice upper terrace area to take in the view and sunshine. Accomodation itself large, comfortable and very well equipped. Owners of the property very warm and helpful. Would certainly recommend this property.

Our second visit to Rocklyn. Great communication with the owners and the house was as expected. Perfect! WiFi much better than last time, which was probably our only issue last visit. A lovely part of Ireland and again, we went all over exploring. Lovely to come home each evening to Rocklyn Lodge.

Beautiful property, right on the sea edge.

Has all the facilities you need for a relaxing break away. Donaghadee in walking distance. The city of bangor just up the road, which is worth a visit. Comfortable beds, sofas, and excellent for entertaining. Definitely worth it, owners have good taste in furnishings and modern fittings.

The house was in a wonderful location, difficult to find in the dark from the street, maybe some signage on the road with the house name would be handy, I do know you share a driveway.

We found it difficult to keep the temperature of the house comfortable with the overcomplicated control systems spent most of our time in the sitting room with the gas fire to stay cozy as it was January and the wind was howling.... loved the view. The beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the towel warmers and the tubs, once we figured out the electronics ( cooker ect) things were great. Thank you for the manual! One small issue we had was the dryer rocked itself while on a cycle and turned off the switch on the wall behind. My husband had to pull out unit in order to reset. Overall we had a lovely visit.

This is a excellent location and property.

The property is set in a beautiful area, the space in the property is fantastic we were a family of 4 and had all our own space if needed. Everything was catered for inside the property. My daughter forgot her Bluetooth speaker and there was one there. We will come back in the future, I am ordinally from Belfast so still got family there which we try and see yearly. The only minor point sounds daft but would be better to have bigger towels. Overall this place is amazing and will be back.

A fantastic weeks stay in Rocklyn Lodge.

It’s an absolutely stunning property. The view is incredible. If you like a place by the water then this place is heaven! Property is much bigger than in the pictures. Although the pictures are great they don’t do the property justice. It’s beautiful. Spotlessly clean and immaculate. Super modern and very tastefully finished. Comfortable beds and linens. Kitchen is a cooks dream! I booked the property purely for what it looked like and its proximity to the sea. What I hadn’t realised is what a great little town Donaghadee is. Numerous great places to eat. Easy access to the sea via a slip way 5 minutes walk away. Amazing for a swim if you like a year round cold water swim as I do. I could go on and on. This place is just fantastic and I would highly recommend. Booked for next year before we even left! That says it all!

This house is amazing.

Very quiet. Beautiful view. Very nice, updated, but easy to use appliances. I would definitely, definitely, most definitely recommend. We would obviously love to stay here again!

Rocklyn Lodge is a lovely property and the views are spectacular even during Storm Amy!

It’s also in a great location for exploring surrounding areas and we think Donaghadee is a lovely little seaside town, everyone is so friendly. Will definitely consider returning to Rocklyn Lodge in the future.

Excellent property which more than lived up to our expectations.

The proximity to the see was lovely. The best property we have stayed in. We loved it so much we are thinking of book it again for next year.

One of the best houses we’ve ever stayed in.

Waves crashing at the bottom of the garden and views to die for. House is so spacious and has the most beautiful kitchen with very fancy mod cons. Even has an extra WC near the entrance which I don’t think is mentioned. Very comfortable beds. Ideal location with only 10 mins walk to the centre. Lovely wee town. Stunning coastal walk from past the harbour which we almost missed. Only 1/2 hour from Belfast, Would love to come back.

When I booked this I did not realise that this was an ideal recovery from my earlier illness.

We could not asked for anything else, so relaxing and tranquil.

There is so much to say about Rocklyn Lodge it is hard to know where to start, so, first the location.

Wonderful!! Just on the edge of Donaghadee, it is close enough to walk into the town if you don't want to drive. The views from the lounge, dining area and kitchen are fabulous, sitting on the veranda and looking out to sea is just great!! The Lodge itself is very comfortable, modern, and has everything and more that you could wish for if you want to do self-catering, really well-equipped kitchen, the bedrooms and bathrooms all modern and bright, as is the whole house. It was ultra-clean on our arrival, and one of the nicest touches was the 'welcome' hamper of Milk, coffee, tea, crisps, biscuits, cake and cheese, oh, not forgetting butter!! That to me is a lovely thought and was indeed very welcome. There are comprehensive files on the bureau taking you through how everything works, useful telephone numbers etc, and lots of books and leaflets as to where to visit, and where to eat throughout the area. We cannot fault Rocklyn Lodge in any way, we had the most comfortable and amazing week there, and I would thoroughly recommend a stay if you are visiting the area, I don't honestly think you could find anywhere better.

Cannot recommend this property enough!

It’s absolutely beautiful and furnished and decorated to the highest of standards. It’s huge inside and has one of the biggest kitchens I’ve seen, all with modern appliances. The view from the back of the house out to the water can only be seen to be described. Set within a stunning village with lots of great places to eat and only 30mins from Belfast which was great. We will definitely be back and cannot commend the owners enough.

Exceptional!

Looks good on the photos, even better in reality; stunning house in an absolutely incredible location - those views! Wow. We didn’t want to leave (and booked for next year before we left!). Much more spacious than we expected, there are even rooms that aren’t mentioned in the details. All the furnishings, appliances etc. are top quality and high spec (I couldn’t quite get over the dishwasher projecting the time left onto the floor!), and everything has been considered, from a lovely new cool bag to take a picnic in, to the carpet on every step, even where there are just two. The shower in the Ensuite is fantastic. Fabulous welcome pack. Best holiday home ever. Had an amazing week of weather too which didn’t hurt! Owners are helpful and attentive if needed. Bit tricky to pick out from the road the first time, the driveway is shared with neighbours, it’s the entrance next to Clifton Cove. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The house is even better than the photos. The view is well worth waking up for. Sitting eating breakfast, looking out on the sea is fantastic. House is well equipped and luxurious. By far the best property we’ve stayed in. Location is good for seeing some of the North of Irelands sights. Belfast is a prospering city, which has had a lot of money spent on it. We delved into the history of the troubles with walking tours, visited the giants causeway, Carrick A Rede rope bridge, the titanic museum and as Game of Thrones fans, spent a few days at filming locations as well as the studio tour! Welcome pack was superb. The owners have considered everything! Good communication as well. 10/10. Excellent property. Thanks for such a lovely holiday!

We just spent a lovely week at Rocklyn Lodge.

The lodge is located on the coast which allows for clear views of the sea. The lodge is walking distance to the village where we found a selection of shops a supermarkets and a lovely bakery. The lodge itself is very comfortable. Spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We have not been on a self catering holiday in a while, the facilities made it easy to function. Brenda the host was very nice. I messaged her to check the property had power after the last storm that hit Ireland. Brenda responded quickly and even checked that everything was ok during our stay.. I would definitely return to Rocklyn Lodge if I were to visit Northern Ireland again. Thank you Brenda for a lovely stay.

Love it!

In terms of location and views - it cannot be beaten. Lovely well equipped spacious property. Comfy bed, although settees are a little low. Only little negatives - stained sheet on arrival, wood burner had not been cleaned out or reset and there was no kindling, tongs and brush. The central heating had only been set for one hour very early in the morning, so when we arrived the house was very cold. Bathroom windows really need blinds. Overall a fabulous stay - we really did not want to leave.

Fantastic, Beautiful, Amazing are just some of the words I would use to describe Rocklyn Lodge.

We have stayed in many cottages over the years but this place is head and shoulders above anywhere we have stayed previously. The pictures do not do justice to this marvellous home. Every thing you could need has been provided including the biggest welcome package I have seen - bread, milk, tea, coffee, butter, cake etc etc. The whole house is spotlessly clean and the views from the balcony …..wow The only negative I can think of is the fact we had to leave it behind after our stay. We can’t wait to return next year.

First class Only one ever so slight problem minor one hated the pillows everything else was superb

We stayed at Rocklyn Lodge in September 2024 and cannot rate it high enough.

It is top class and found it very comfortable, there was a welcome pack with good Irish fare as well as milk, cheese and butter in the fridge was just what we needed after a long day to get there. The kitchen was very well appointed with top of the range appliances. All the rooms were very comfortable and the views from the balcony were fantastic, we spent quite a few hours just watching the sunrise and sunsets. Would definitely go ago.

We had a great time at Rocklyn Lodge.

  The house is beautifully furnished, with fantastic views over the sea.  It has been renovated to a high standard with all the facilities needed to enjoy a carefree and really comfortable holiday.  In addition to that a really generous welcome basket. Its a lovely place to stay.  We took trips around the Ards peninsular,  Belfast, the Ulster Folk Museum, Mount Stewart and the Giants Causeway.

Spacious, well equipped kitchen with contemporary appliances. Would easily accommodate 6 people, the two of us lived on just one floor! The soft furnishings were comfortable and tasteful. A welcome pack of goodies greeted us on arrival which was far beyond any we have had before. Sitting outside on the balcony, just 20 metres from the sea shore watching both sunrises and sunsets was amazing. Would thoroughly recommend this holiday let and it’s excellent value for money - thank you

) Spectacular views, tons of space, all the mod cons, helpful friendly owners, lovely welcome basket, very comfortable beds, excellent showers, short walk to the nearby harbour town, absolutely everything you need for a stay away.

A beautiful house with stunning views and a quiet setting.

Very easy to relax in. Extremely spacious, beautifully furnished and meticulously clean; it contained everything we needed for our stay. The boot room was a really handy space for all our 'stuff'! The welcome package of milk/butter/cheese essentials and some additional treats was a lovely surprise. The owners couldn't have been more helpful answering our minor queries. Would definitely recommend this holiday home.

We have rented many holiday cotttages over the years and this was easily the best one.

It had every thing you could wish for. We didnt want to leave and will hope to return.
