The kitchen is fully equipped to cater for your self-catering needs, while the dining area invites shared meals and lively conversation.
The sitting area offers an appealing place to unwind, with a woodburning stove adding a gentle warmth as evenings draw in and the Smart TV ready for relaxed entertainment.
On the ground floor, find two neatly presented bedrooms, including a double and a bunk room, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements, along with a well-appointed bathroom and a convenient cloakroom.
Outside, the garden with patio furniture offers the perfect spot to take in the striking surroundings and enjoy time together in the open air.
Leenane itself is a picturesque village at the head of Killary Harbour, where you can admire rugged scenery and explore this natural inlet.
In Leenane there are two village pubs, each serving meals and snacks as well as two shops selling beautiful woolen garments from locally produced wool.
A 15 minute walk would take you to the Leenane hotel which offers a range of spa treatments including the famous seaweed baths for rejuvenation and well-being alongside, two cafés serving a range of freshly made breakfasts, lunch, brunch and coffees.
A short journey brings you to Connemara National Park, home to sweeping landscapes, walking trails, and rich wildlife.
Visit the Renvyle Peninsula for dramatic coastal views and sandy stretches, or head to Westport, where you can explore Westport House and stroll the lively streets.
For a scenic drive, discover the striking Doolough Valley, framed by mountains and lakes.

The Cottage in Leenane (Leenaun) is a joy.
This modern renovation of a traditional Irish cottage is immaculately put together. Cosy, with everything you could possibly need and a shower to die for! Situated a short walk from the village of Leenane with it's lively pubs, coffee shops and friendly locals. Surrounded by the most breathtaking scenery. We loved our walks and drives. The Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring both Connemara and Mayo. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They have put together a handy guide to answer any questions about the house. The have included suggestions of things to do and places to visit in the area. I loved my stay.
