  • "Lovely week spent at this house."

Very remote location and house very spacious (both were something we were looking for). We couldn't find a plug for one of the baths / hot tub and the BBQ didn't seem to be finished being built yet. A couple of rooms with twin beds rather than doubles may be worth considering. A few more chairs and a bigger table in the dining area / outside area would also be useful. Overall a very pleasant stay and the views are out of this world! Thanks.

  • "Very large house with great views."

10 in our party (not 5 couples) so it would really help if there were one or two camp style beds to cater for small children as the house only has 5 double beds and one cot.. facilities need slight updating as crockery is mixed and some chipped.. It has everything you need in terms of dishwasher, washing machine etc. Photos show dining table for 6 but there are extra chairs around and some breakfast bar stools. house pretty clean except for cooker hood which needs a thorough clean. Overall great location and house is value for money

  • "House was amazing however, it would be a real benefit if a welcome book was available from the owners outlining operating instructions for equipment, general information of the area etc."

The house was overbearingly hot and owner didn’t know how to adjust. One oven didn’t work which was a bit inconvenient. One of the showers flooded the living room and no instructions for the spa bath. Stunning views but a bit of a trek off the main road.

  • "Our family enjoyed a lovely holiday in West Cork recently."

This beautiful house is in a great location, is so spacious, is furnished to a very high standard and is so well equipped with everything one needs to enjoy self catering. 10/10 ⭐️ With large bedrooms & great en-suite bathrooms it is perfectly suited for a large family/group and we would highly recommend this 5 star property. There is also a fabulous balcony to relax on, dine outdoors & enjoy the stunning views. Truly an amazing property, that will make your stay so enjoyable and we will definitely be rebooking in future. Thank you to the lovely owners, it is hard to find words to adequately describe this fabulous property.

  • "The property was described as 'luxury' but I'm sorry to say it isn't once you step inside."

While the house is impressive externally and internally the rooms are exceptionally spacious, the creature comforts are very much lacking. While it sleeps 10, the lounge only seats 7 (the best room in the house), and only 6 can sit around the dining table in the kitchen/diner - which is a huge room with lovely views but lacks furniture and in particular comfortable chairs to sit and relax in. The majority of the crockery had seen better days - plates and bowls faded, odds and sods, chipped; cups/mugs are plentiful but a lot of them are heavily stained. Cooking utensils as in egg flippers, wooden spoons etc had seen far better days. The kettle looked very old and tired and certainly needs replacing. No washing up bowl and the sink plug doesn't stop the water from draining away quite quickly. While there's a dish washer you still need to do some in the sink. The tumble dryer filter hadn't been cleaned for ages and was thick with fluff. The sweeping brush had had it's handle snapped in half. No basket for taking washing out to the line. A number of light bulbs had popped before we arrived. The mattresses in the bedrooms were passed their best and the duvet itself, after we stripped the bed before departing, was very old. It was hard to tell if it had been cleaned. The pillows were the same. The majority of the flooring is tiled which is sensible given the house will probably appeal to those who like the out doors but a few scatter rugs would have made it feel a bit more homely. If you're looking for budget accommodation for a large party and don't mind the negatives then you'll probably have a great time. Putting all of the above to one side, the location is superb.

  • "Had a lovely week at Ocean View."

The house is fabulous with superb views. The lack of broadband and sky tv would be the only reason we would not give 5 stars but apart from that the house was great.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in Ocean View."

It was in the perfect location to explore the Beara Peninsula and surrounding areas. The house was extremely spacious, very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed from pots&pans for cooking, a washing machine and dryer etc. It was lovely sitting on the terrace taking in the beautiful view and relaxing in the cosy lounge after our busy days out. We would like to thank Noreen for our excellent stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a holiday rental on the Beara peninsula.
