  • "The property and location are beautiful."

Unfortunately, poor communication before and during my stay would prohibit me from recommending this to friends. Prior to my stay it was difficult to get information regarding picking up the key. During my stay I did not get any response to two emails sent regarding operation of the fireplace and washer. Apparently, there should have been an instruction book in the cottage but this was not the case.

Hi Robert . Thank you for your comments about poor communication i will take this on board and see how we can improve this in the future i thank you for your feedback and the high score on the house you gave us and i do hope its not long before we see you back in Kenmare . Kind Regards. Patrick. Property Owner

  • "I used the downstairs shower as I have a bad knee and can’t get into a bath."

Found it impossible not to flood the bathroom even with the shower head low and turned to the back wall apart from that it is a lovely house in a prime spot and we had a great time.

Hi John. Thank you for your comments great to hear you had a good time at ROK holiday home sorry to hear about the shower it looks like you had the pressure of the water turned up to much . Regards. Patrick. Property Owner

  • "We had a fabulous time at the Ring of Kerry Golf Club Cottage."

It is beautifully decorated cottage with good sized rooms and good facilities. The collection of cottages feels safe and it was so quiet with burds and wildlife all around. On the initial drive to the cottage, there were no signs for the cottages until we were practically there. You have to drive on a very bumpy track to the right of the golf club. We headed up the hill on the road and had to turn back. Cottage facilities were good. Once we had turned the boiler on, we had good warm showers. The location was great for us as we were in a beautiful spot, but we didn't feel too remote as we had some neighbours, although we barely saw anyone. We were a bit disappointed that the bar and restaurant closed for most of our visit. There appeared to be an event on one evening, but otherwise it was closed. No sign or anything saying if or when it would open. The view over the golf course was amazing. This location does require a car as it is about 4 miles to Kenmare, which is a fabulous town. The nearest bar Spillanes was also closed every time we drove past. There is a lovely rocky beach within a short drive. If you are blessed with good weather, there is a stunning beach (Paradise Found) about 45 minutes drive away. I really hope to return one day and I would recommend the cottage to others.

Hi Catherine. Thank you very much for you comments great you enjoyed your stay and i do hope its not to long before we see you again with us on the 7 Ring Of Kerry Golf Club Cottage . Kind Regards. Patrick Property Owner

  • "The property is set on a very quiet holiday complex on The Ring of Kerry."

The fixtures and fittings in the property are of a high standard and clean. The views around are breathtaking, it's in a good position for visiting many places of interest. Kenmare is a short drive away and other attractions within easy reach. Garnish Island and Dereen Garden are in a beautiful setting and well worth a visit. There are numerous ancient stone circles and buriel chambers nearby. The only minor issue was a lack of kitchen essentials, eg washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and kitchen roll which you would expect in an outstanding property. Also no welcome pack.

Hi Gill Thank you for your comments glad you enjoyed your stay in the house and that you enjoyed the the breathtaking scenery that is in Kenmare and Co.Kerry with regard to your minor comments ie welcome pack i will look into this for next season and i do hope that its not to long before we see you again. Small rope line in shade at back of house. No pegs and no airer. Cleaner asked owner if we could have an airer and was told to use line. Kerry is the wettest county in ireland. Not impressed.

Hi. Paul. Thank you and your party of 1 for your comments and its great that you pick one of the sunniest weeks in May to stay in Kenmare that we have had in along time ' with regards to your comments about Drying your clothes the caretaker did go out and buy some more clothes pegs for you when you arrived at the house so you could do your washing and dry it on the line in the garden .I do hope this did not spoil your stay and would be delighted to see you back in Kenmare again. • "The signage on site to the cottage is very poor."

You have a choice of a tarmac road that looks like it goes to the cottage or a dirt track that appears to go to a maintenance yard. I made the wrong choice! A small sign would be very useful

Because of it's location a car really is necessary. There's just so many beautiful places to visit from the house and there are plenty of books and guides provided to help with planning where to go. We were a little apprehensive having read reviews of the approach road past the club house but we found it was absolutely fine and had no trouble finding it even in the dark. (We set the sat nav to the club house initially then to the holiday cottage address itself) We would love to return to this beautiful place.

It is a bit challenging to find and it is about a 5 minute drive into Kenmare. The washer is only a washer so drying your clothes is a challenge. Better instructions would be Helpful for the heater for people not used to that type of system. It is a lovely spot and the views are amazing.
