  • "We stayed in Killelton cottage for 2 weeks mid June 26."

The rooms in the house are like the photos. It is comfortable and relaxing. The views both front and back are beautiful, ever changing and the sunsets are amazing. The beach is a 5 min walk down the lane L12177 directly across the road from the house. The house is on the main Tralee to Dingle road and it can be extremely busy with cars travelling aprox 80 -100 kms. You do need to be careful coming out onto the road but there is a small mirror across the road to help. There is road noise at at the front of the house at times so if you are a light sleeper the bedroom at the back would be better. We did need to contact the owner a couple of times over the two weeks and Theresa was always available to answer the calls. When required Sean the handyman came down to us. The electric cooker blew during our 2nd week as we were cooking dinner. Sean was down within a few mins and was back the following morning with two others and got it working again, but advised not to use all 4 rings together to avoid it happening again. I have spoken to Theresa since our return home and it is going to be looked at. Eating out was good with the fish dishes superb. The Seven Hogs is about 7 mins away and is nice, you do need to book, they also do take away which is tasty. The Half Door in Dingle is a lovely little restaurant for a treat or a romantic dinner. On our last evening we went to Picies restaurant in Castlegregory and it really was the best till last. We had a wonderful meal and the staff were extremely friendly. Killelton Cottage is a really good base for exploring all the dingle peninsula has to offer. Remember to bring your camera as you will get some stunning photos.

  • "A great base for exploring the Dingle Peninsula."

Fantastic location between the sea and the mountains. Very well equipped, warm and comfortable. Large, spacious kitchen with everything you need for self catering. 3 comfy bedrooms... despite being on the main road it was extremely quiet and relaxed at night. Large lounge with great sunset views. And...an incredible bathroom. The owners response to a minor issue with the boiler was outstanding... fixed in less than a half hour. Superb.

It was a very clean and comfortable place for us to stay while we toured around the area. It is just how it looks in the photos and would highly recommend it.
