The Blue Annex

this cottage is probably the best we have ever stayed in, been comming to ireland for over 20 years, everything you ever needed here was supplied right down to to the bear essentials, tea coffee milk eggs washing up liquid etc.

..the cottage was spotless ,, plus in a nice area of spa, we found this the perfect place for our fishing holiday, we are looking to book again next year,

The property was wonderful , Kathy and Padraig are lovely and very welcoming .

Beds are comfortable and everywhere was very clean. It was so thoughtful to have tea, coffee ,sugar milk and a packet of biscuits on arrival. A beautiful area , amazing scenery would highly recommend.

It had all we needed including a fully equipped kitchen, with generous welcome pack. In great area to explore ring of kerry and dingle peninsula. Beautiful views from lounge window. Nothing to dislike.

We had a lovely stay at the Blue Annex.

I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay near Tralee. The house had everything we needed during our stay. Padraig and Kathy are both lovely and very helpful. The location is excellent, it is right beside the Greenway and very near Fenit and Ardfert. It's about a 10 minute drive into Tralee, an hour to Dingle and 40 mins to Killarney. There are numerous fabulous beaches within a 30 minute drive from the house.

What an exceptional place to stay with our two very sick dogs after a highly stressful ferry crossing from France to Ireland.

Kathy and Padraig could not have been more welcoming and understanding. Great also that when we needed to be out to celebrate my Mum and Dad’s 60th wedding anniversary, there was no problem with our dear friend Dee who came to dog sit and stay overnight. The enclosed garden area was perfect for our recovering dogs, who had to spend 24 hours in a vet hospital on a bank holiday weekend after erroneously been given triple the mandatory worming dose for their weight. The Blue Annex is a home from home, comfy lounge, great kitchen, plentiful supply of cleaning products, washing machine tabs and softener, loo rolls, kitchen rolls, soap, shampoos, body wash etc. Beds incredibly comfortable with a plentiful supply of high quality linens and towels. Great also to be able to park right in front of the house. Fantastic location, minutes drive to beaches and restaurants and the bonus for us, just around the corner from Mum and Dad! Would we come back? In a heartbeat! Thank you so much Kathy and Padraig for an amazing place to stay! We will meet again.

our second visit to thr Blue Annex and once again Kathy & Padraig made us very welcome and provided a nice welcome pack.

The house is very comfy with everything we needed, plenty of towels and hot water. It's location is close to Killarney National Park, The Ring of Kerry and numerous excellent beaches. An added bonus on this visit was the Greenway which you can access 50m up the road. The enclosed yard is great for our 2 dogs!

" Super holiday property, location and hosts" Property is in a lovely location with an entrance to the Fenit Greenway three minutes walk away.

It has everything you could want or need for a self catering holiday and is comfortable and clean. Safe enclosed patio at the rear for pets and a really beautiful garden surrounding the property. The property owners are on hand for any queries and are helpful and considerate. I have no hesitation in recommending the Blue Annex and look forward to visiting again.

Good yard for dog to use, lovely warm heating and Tralee is a good base to explore surrounding area.

Great property in a very good location , The property was spotless and comfortable.

The owners ( next door ) introduced themselves after we had been there an hour or so to check if everything was okay and had any queries.They were friendly, gave us some useful tips about the area and were otherwise unobtrusive. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.

Lovely, comfortable, smart, spacious accommodation in a quiet, pleasant, rural setting.

Comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of hot water. WiFi slow at times but usable. Generous welcome pack. Close to The Greenway, an excellent cycling and walking path. Friendly owners next door if needed. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would be happy to return.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Good location, dog friendly beach and walks close by. Close to some very good restaurants and cafes. Owners very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to them for their help when our car battery failed.

Lovely spacious accommodation with all the amenities and great view.

Providing bread, milk, butter, eggs, biscuits for arrival was a nice touch. Our dog Teddy had fun playing with Mylo. Had delicious meals in the Tankard pub and Oyster tavern nearby. Was a great location to explore Dingle peninsula and Ring of Kerry. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Annexe.

We had a lovely break there. We do think when people are allowed to bring their dogs it would be a good idea to provide a bucket and mop plus access to a vacuum cleaner. Without same it’s impossible to leave the premises as we found it.

The cottage was lovely with provisions for tea making and a breakfast provided as a nice touch.

A nice quiet location with easy access to sone wonderful places

The house is in a great location with lovely views down to Fenit Harbour and very close to the new Tralee to Fenit Greenway for walking and cycling.

The hosts were helpful and there if needed. The house is generally clean. We would have expected that the kitchen crockery would all match and some utensils need replacing. The oven is in need of some attention.

Pleasant comfortable place, lots of space, large kitchen, generous outdoor seating.

Also nice that the pantry in the kitchen was well stocked. And did we find it annoying that there was no dishwasher? Not really.

Very comfortable and well kept though dated.

Comfortable beds. A few issues with plumbing ie. Bathroom cold tap loose and wouldn’t work, loud and strange noises from pipes. Fridge temp faulty, froze the strawberries! A lot more could have been made of the outside yard as the furniture was very basic and it was surrounded by a fence. Lovely quiet location close to good restaurants and the coast. Great views.

This is a lovely, comfortable, and very well equipped self catering cottage.

We could not fault it. Probably the nicest self catering we have come across. We stayed 5 nights and found lovely places to visit within the area. The loan of cycles was nice and the wonderful greenway cycle and walking trail very close by. We had a lovely time here and thoroughly recommend it.

Had a lovely stay here.

It is probably the best rental we have stayed at. Kitchen well equipped and we had a welcome pack of food which was very handy. Lovely views and close to the Greenway which is great for safe walking and cycling. Bedroom was large and comfortable with great views. Good parking in front of the building. Definitely would recommend here.

We visit the property on our Christmas holidays for a 10 night stay, from start to finish our experience was 5stars, will definitely stay again when home.

The house is in a quiet location with a lovely view of fields and the water.

It is a 5 min drive to Tralee, about an hour to Killarney and has many wonderful beaches within a 30/40min drive. Kathy and Padraig made us very welcome. The house itself was very cosy and had everything we needed including a comfortable bed. Also there were a good supply of tea bags, coffee, sugar and loo rolls. The icing on the cake for us was the secure patio area for our 2 dogs. We will definitely return in the future

The Blue Annexe is the perfect spot for exploring the beauty of County Kerry.

Kathy & Padraig are the perfect hosts & their little dog Milo got friendly with our dog Jack during the week we were there. The house is immaculately clean; WiFi is great and you are literally on the doorstep of two stunning beaches Fenit and Banna along with fabulous restaurants The Oyster Tavern in Spa and West End in Fenit - booking advised for Friday through Sunday. We drove a good bit around the county including the spectacular Ring of Kerry; Dingle and back via Connor Pass (not for the faint hearted!) and some other gorgeous beaches including Inch Kells and Castlegregory. We were lucky with the weather for early September and only had heavy rain overnight with pretty clear mild days. Kerry is breathtakingly beautiful and this is the perfect spot to explore and return to for a relaxing evening in front of the fire with a glass or two of wine
