  • "Impressive house."

I have been with my mother and my dog since November in Ireland and without a doubt the best. very very clean and cozy, very spacious rooms and great kitchen. Apart from this, which is already great, the family welcomed us with some sweets and a bottle of wine. The views that we had from the table with umbrella that they have outside, are impressive. The owner was so kind that he made us witness the birth of three lambs. We will never forget it. We will definitely return, both for the owners who are charming and for the house, which is a 10.

  • "The cottage is an absolute delight."

Everything is well thought out and there when needed. One of the things that I really liked were the prevalence of the 1960's features like the fireplaces. They really give the place huge charm. The location is really great and there is a lovely walk along the adjoining lane. It goes for miles. Also, there is great access to many of the attractions in County Mayo. I highly recommend the cottage and it will give you a great holiday.

  • "This is a lovely cottage and third time have stayed in it."

The owners are kind and hospitable and put a lot of thought into little extras to make it a home from home. The directions to the cottage are spot on...if follow the clear and straightforward directions listed then there is no need to worry about satnavs or eircodes. The cottage is warm and comfortable with both central heating and logs supplied for the stove and open fire. There is a large garden area to sit out in when weather permits and the views are spectacular. If you want a quiet and comfortable place to stay which is slightly off the beaten track yet only a few minutes drive from the town, this is the place to go.

  • "Owners were very welcoming and didn't mind visitors calling as we have many relatives in the area."

The cottage was more spacious than we expected. It had a lovely warm cosy atmosphere. It is a very good location for accessing sites in North Mayo. Belmullet is approx 45 mins by car. Enniscrone is 20 mins. Location of cottage is very quiet and peaceful. Owner had fire on in range at our arrival. There was constant access to central heating and hot water. Beds were very comfortable. A very enjoyable stay.

  • "This was my second stay at Kate's cottage."

It was just as comfortable as i remembered. The weather was colder this visit but there was plenty of turf provided for the range and there is a good central heating system with no regulations regarding timesof use. Bread and milk had again been provided and there were cleaning products and toiletries available too. The information sheet in the house is clear and detailed and the directions to the house on the website are spot on. Thanks again to the lovely, welcoming owners for another lovely visit.

  • "Spacious, comfortable, well equipped cottage."

In a very very quiet place. Ideal for a totally relaxing time out, which was what we needed. Next pub and shop 10 minutes by car in Crossmolina. The cottage is 3 miles from the main road - not one mile as indicated in the description. We nearly panicked when we couldn’t find it on the first day and the host didn’t answer the phone - only to be greeted by a lovely host lady who was worrying why we were so late and who had left scones and home made bread for us in the cottage. Thank you again!

Thank you for your feedback. The owner can only apologise for the issues you had regarding the directions, this has now been reviewed to make it easier for guests to find. Updated telephone numbers with international dialing codes have also been added and a landline number to ensure that the owner is available at all times for guests. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Kate's Cottage and look forward to seeing you again soon. Property Owner
