The accommodation was perfect, with a huge kitchen, comfortable lounge and beds and good heating and shower rooms.
it was lovely that Delia baked us scones on arrival and left us plenty of turf for the week. The location is also uniquely lovely, with the loop walk around Erris Head on the doorstep and Belmullet (with its shops, pubs and decent eateries) an easy drive away. We would definitely recommend it to friends wanting a peaceful to Erris.
This home is a wonderful stay.
I’ve been gone a day and I miss it terribly. If you’re looking for cold Irish charm and you’re an active traveler this is the place for you. You are fully immersed in the land. A true “Irish” experience.
We had an excellent stay at Erris Head House.
Communication from Sykes and Delia, our host, was top notch. Check-in was simple and flexible. A warm fire was going when we arrived, with fruit and goodies left for us in the spacious kitchen. The farm and ocean views from the house were inspiring and the sunset walks we took up to Erris Head were simply stunning. The home was clean and tidy and Delia was only a text away if we had any questions. She made a plug available for charging our car, which was super helpful, and went above and beyond to help us track down a lost item in town—even taking the time and trouble to ship it to us. She was a rock star when we needed her, yet otherwise never saw her. Such a peaceful stay in a beautiful location. Highly recommend.
