Description

Loughglynn 7.5 miles.

Lying on the banks of Lough Errit in the western lake district of County Roscommon is this family-friendly detached house.

With beautiful views from most of the rooms, this modern Roscommon cottage is situated within reach of the small village of Loughglynn, halfway between the vibrant towns of Ballyhaunis in County Mayo and Ballaghaderreen in County Roscommon, making this a wonderful base for exploring both counties.

Boasting six, bright and spacious bedrooms with a variety of sleeping arrangements, this Loughglynn cottage can cater for many party types including families and groups of friends, with one of the bedrooms having a private balcony with a table and chairs and glorious views of Lough Errit.

The ground floor comprises a kitchen, where you can cook up a storm for your loved ones, a dining room which opens out onto the front patio, which also boasts stunning views of the lake, and a sitting room which is complemented by a woodburning stove, the perfect addition to those crisp evenings in.

There is also a separate sitting room which has an open fire, offering a peaceful space where you can relax and unwind with a good book after a busy day, or perhaps a place where children can watch a DVD.

Set in a tranquil and peaceful lakeside location, this Roscommon house allows you to switch off entirely from everyday life; it's a quiet place, where you can experience the real west of Ireland.

The nearby village of Loughglynn is home to shops and traditional pubs and is surrounded by a total of six lakes, with Lough Errit famed for its fishing opportunities.

The area is ideal for bike rides, long walks and is only a half hour drive from Knock Airport.

Many attractions within easy reach include boat trips in Carrick-on-Shannon, Lough Key Forest Park and the buzzing town of Castlebar.

A fantastic lakeside house for all the family in this lovely part of Ireland.

the house was beautiful and comfortable if somewhat remote, but for someone who comes from an area of nothing but noise and light pollution as we all do it was heavenly If I arrange another golf trip to that area of Ireland rest assured Errit will be my first port of call Marvellous place

This is a wonderful spot for those who like peace and quiet.

The surroundings are beautiful and we could walk the dog from the house without coming into social contact. We found the house to be very comfortable and easy to care for.
