If you can tear yourself from your peaceful new lodgings, head out on foot to explore more of your local village.

You'll also find the ancient site of Duncannon Fort during your ambling, a truly unmissable historic landmark, whilst an afternoon walk along Duncannon Beach is also a must.
Further afield, on a southward drive along the coast you will find Dollar Bay in Killoggin, the 14th-century setting of Loftus Hall in New Ross, and Hook Lighthouse in Churchtown, cited as the world's oldest operational lighthouse!
A drive north will take you to Ballyhack Harbour, Dunbrody Abbey, and the famous John F Kennedy Arboretum and The Kennedy Homestead.

A fantastic location, being only a 5 minutes walk to Duncannon Beach and a 10 minutes walk along the beach or road into Duncannon.
All bedrooms were well appointed and clean, but the shower unit in the 1st floor bathroom is in desperate need of replacement as there is very little force in the water coming from it. The kitchen/dining area is very spacious, with ample cutlery, crockery and glassware. However, the majority of the pots and pans were unusable due to either rust or badly damaged nonstick surfaces. Duncannon itself is a lovely place with ample food and drink outlets and a small convenience store. Also Lumi Bakery in the village, just off the beach, has some lovely cakes and bread.
A really lovely spot, right by the beach, playground and basketball court were fantastic to have near-by.
