  • "Beautiful house."

Lovely area. Only issues were dealing with rubbish. More towels would be good. Have a great time and host was always communicative and available.

  • "A lovely cottage in a completely untouched and rural location, the pictures didn't do this property justice, it was absolutely amazing with loads of space."

  • "The cottage was lovely and in a great location."

Well equipped and to a nice standard. However, the lack of a window that properly opened in the upstairs back bedroom meant it was unbearably stuffy at night and very difficult to get a good nights sleep. The shower in the en-suite did not flow and temperature was erratic. The shower door in the main bathroom did not close properly. The tv only works for DVD players and the WiFi was very poor. These were all things that could probably be fixed and would make it an amazing place.

The property is in close proximity to Nearby Carne and Our Lady's Island. These contemporary cottages have a large garden area to share, making it family friendly, as well as a lockable door separating the two apartments, giving you the choice to have a huge open plan cottage or two separate living areas. These are three of our most stylish, contemporary self-catering cottages. All are beautifully furnished in a classy modern way, with granite worktops, contemporary furniture, big comfortable sofas, cosy and large bedrooms and an abundance of fresh wooden decor. The studio despite being compact has all that you need for a relaxing holiday at an easy reach, fantastically. The cottages have a shared garden area, with fashionable furniture and an enormous lawned area, perfect to sit and relax with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine whilst the children play. These cottages are set in the charming Irish town of Tacumshane, where Ireland's oldest serving windmill stands. Tacumshane is very popular with anglers and bird watchers at the town's lake. There are a number of golf courses nearby and an easily accessible coastal path. Further afield from Tacumshane is Kilmore Quay, a fishing village with many lakes and various beautiful sandy beaches. About the location

Wexford 9 miles.

The small village of Tacumshane in County Wexford has a pub and restaurant, The Millhouse, and is home to the Republic of Ireland's only surviving windmill. Built in 1846, the timber used is thought to be beach driftwood or wood from the shipwrecks that were all too common in this coastal region. The windmill is now designated a national monument. This part of County Wexford has plenty on offer - Tacumshane Lake is a favourite with anglers and birdwatchers, there are many golf courses, and the coastal walking path is easily reached. Kilmore Quay fishing village is a few miles down the road, and there are some lovely beaches, ideal for relaxing and playing on the sand. The county town of Wexford is under 10 miles away, and offers plenty of amenities including shops, bars and good restaurants.
