  • "The owner is a genuinely sweet woman and very accommodating, but the property is outdated, in disrepair, unkept, dirty and generally unsuitable for a rental."

From the freezer door falling off in your hand every time it’s opened, disgusting mold in every bathroom, abundant spiders, hot water only available during specific times of day, no access to adjust the heat, to the confusing layout, including uneven floors, a single power outlet per room, spotty WIFI (at best) to the rooms added on over the years, skip this place ! There are too many other viable alternatives in the area. Rent at your own risk. Our family discussed leaving and asking for a refund, but decided to tough it out and stay.

  • "Lovely grounds that were whimsical and fun to explore."

No view of the water from the home as implied, but there was a view from elsewhere on the grounds. One of the bathrooms had quite a few spiders and cobwebs, but the bigger issue were the windows which were not frosted, had only partial coverings made of lace, and looked directly into another home and could be seen from the courtyard and entryway of the home itself. Overall the home was a fun place to stay with a group and had lots of common areas to hangout, and the kitchen was nice. Accessing the home was easy, but heating is controlled remotely by the homeowner.

  • "We had such a wonderful stay."

The house is very spacious with access to stunning gardens. We were a party of 8 and the space available in the house was excellent. The dining area comfortably seated us all. The children absolutely loved it. The fact that the property is gated makes everything feel so secure. The owners are very friendly but not intrusive. We made some amazing memories and are determined to book again at another time.
