"In general this is a nice enough cottage but it isn’t 4* more like 3* and it could be so much better with fairly little effort."
It’s in a nice location but outside it looks a bit neglected and needs a good tidy up. Some better outdoor furniture for example and The windows could do with a good clean. I realise it’s an old cottage and that’s part of the appeal but general upkeep and cleanliness is still important. Even just a refresh of the entrance way and a new door mat would be great. The cottage is a good size and having the horses next door is a delight. Beds upstairs weren’t so comfy and there isn’t enough cutlery for 6 people. The main issues for us were That the hosts made no effort to welcome or introduce themselves, offer info about the cottage or surrounding area. We had no idea how to get eggs as this wasn’t detailed to us and it took us a couple of days to work out the immersion and hot water. The other significant issue is the hot water and again I realise it’s an old cottage but when you have six people living there hot water is important and there wasn’t ever enough regardless of what we did to fill a bath and even the showers were a bit hit and miss sometimes. Sadly we wouldn’t return.

"The cottage was cozy and comfortable."
Most comfortable bed in the world!
We loved the location and all the farm animals, especially the lovely dogs, they were so very cute.
Maybe the kitchen could use some new and more pots and pans, also some cooking spoons and serving bowls. We would definetely come back.

"We had a wonderful week in Cob cottage."
The cottage was very comfortable and we felt totally at home there. Billy and his family were very friendly and always available to answer any questions. We enjoyed the regular visits from the family dogs who were company for our own dog. There are lots of interesting places to visit in the area. Kilmore Quay is a particular favourite of ours and Sigginstown castle is definitely worth checking out, as is Hook lighthouse. The cottage is a wonderful place for children as they would get so much enjoyment from the animals on the farm and also feeding the chickens. The cottage is a lovely place to relax and recharge .

The cottage is very comfortable, WiFi was excellent, Netflix available if you wanted to use it, everything in the property you would expect for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We took our dog and he loved it looking at the chickens and playing with Billy’s dogs. Lovely beaches only a short drive away.

"Lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location."
Wonderful setting, surrounded by horses and chickens that the children loved. Welcoming family available for any questions being just next door. Best local for food is Mary Barrys, Best for a pint only is Quigleys next door if you dont mind the drive they are only 5 minutes away, all dog friendly. Best seaside town to drive to is Fethard with Baginbun beach a short distance away (walkable)
Kilmore Quay is nearest to cottage for a great chipper.

"We had a lovely time on the farm with Billy, the horses, the chickens and their two dogs."
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the built BBQ was an added surprise and bonus. The cottage was a comfortable size (we are a family of 3 with a dog) and very cozy. Billy was very generous with his time, helping our 6-year-old around the horses - much appreciated. We unfortunately forgot our wellies and the sunny southeast was not as sunny this week but we had a wonderful time exploring The Ring of Hook and we did an easter egg hunt at Johnston Castle. A dinner at Mary Barry's comes highly recommended but booking is essential. We would really recommend Cob cottage and would love to stay here again

"We recently stayed at Cob Cottage."
The house has everything you need for a home away from home. Spacious bedrooms, well appointed kitchen and comfy lounge area made it the perfect place to relax after a day exploring. Everything was spotlessly clean. Billy, Rosanne and family were super hosts, very friendly and welcoming, with plenty of recommendations (and fresh eggs!). And we all enjoyed the animal neighbours, especially the two friendly dogs and all the lovely horses. Cob Cottage was a great base to explore Wexford. Our daughter hasn’t stopped talking about it since we left and we all look forward to returning.

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cob Cottage during May half term!"
Billy and Roseanne were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The cottage was so cosy and had everything you could possibly need. Our little one woke up every morning excited to see Pippa and Poppy (their dogs!), the chickens, horses and the beautiful cat! Billy and Roseanne introduced their children to our little one too, and they had a wonderful time playing with one another! He still talks about them all to this day. It was perfect. The area was very tranquil and we enjoyed going on long walks in the local area. Billy provided us with some excellent food recommendations, our favourite being Mary Barry’s. The food and service were both outstanding. You must check this out if staying at Cob Cottage! All in all, we had a fabulous time and we absolutely cannot wait to return in the future.

"We recently had a wonderful stay at Cob Cottage and the owners, Billy and Roseanne, couldn't have been anymore helpful during our time there."
We were greeted by Billy on arrival who gave us a run down on everything and also a box of fresh eggs from their chickens!
Cob cottage is located on the owners smallholding, your neighbours for your stay will included the chickens, ducks, a Shetland pony, a goat and other horses. They also have Poppy and Pippa to wonderfully behaved and very friendly puppers
Cob cottage is around an hours drive from Waterford and 20 mins from Wexford where you can explore the beautiful towns at your leisure. If you get stuck for ideas, or want to stay local you can explore the rugged coastline and lighthouse. If you get really stuck, have a chat with Billy or Roseanne, they will throw some good ideas your way too.
Cob cottage is very comfortable and felt like you were returning home after a day out, there is the log burner for chilly evenings and fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals. There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a small toilet downstairs. The property was very clean and somehow managed to be spacious and cosy at the same time.
We can't wait to come back again!
Thank you Jeremy and Liz for the lovely feedback! It was a pleasure having you both here and we do hope you will return in the future! The very best of luck with the big move,Billy

It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. It is situated on a working farm. It was lovely to see all the animals. They were well behaved, no noises that would wake you up. The situation of the cottage allowed us to travel and see lots of various sights. Kilmore Quay is only 5km away. There is lovely beaches to walk on. We travelled to Dublin a few times. The Dart goes from bray regularly. Billy and Roseanna where very welcoming and able to answer any questions we had. If you want a holiday with beautiful accommodation, reasonably priced and lots to do and see this would be the property for you. We can’t wait to go back.
