  • "Lovely spacious and spotlessly clean house with a well equipped kitchen."

    The welcome pack was a generous and thoughtful addition.Great location for lots of sites to visit (eg Hadrian’s Wall, Keswick in the Lake District, plus a more local walk along the river).We had a wonderful relaxing time, and would recommend this property.

  • "Beautiful area of the countryside, quiet and peaceful, yet only 15 minutes to Carlisle."

    6 minutes to M6. Stunningly well appointed house, great kitchen and well stocked with good quality kitchenware and crockery. Hot tub in enclosed back garden (very private) would highly recommend the property!

  • "We had an amazing stay at this property!"

    It was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the hosts were fantastic, really attentive and easy to reach whenever we had a question. They even maintained the hot tub early each morning so it was always ready for us, with zero interruption to our use throughout the day. The interior was beautifully decorated, and the beds were super comfy, we all slept great. Water pressure in the shower was a nice surprise too (the little things matter!). We loved the welcome basket waiting for us, especially the fresh bread, which was a huge hit with the whole family. Possible addition as the ongoing weather will be very hot, some indoor fans. The house was very hot, even with all the windows open. Highly recommend this place and we’d happily stay again.

  • "An absolute perfect holiday stay."

    The owners, Lisa and Luke have renovated this property thoughtfully and tastefully and have done an excellent job. They have literally thought of everything. Firstly though, even with premium properties with Sykes we find that we need to clean just a tad when we arrive; absolutely not the case with this property, everything was immaculate, impeccably clean, the fanciest folded toilet papers we have ever seen and the word ‘welcome’ etched on the fluffy rug in the lounge when we arrived! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the main bedroom really spacious. The hot tub is clearly new and well maintained and checked daily, early in the morning, so not to disturb us. We had a full day at Kielder whilst we were in the area and also visited lots of the Roman sites which were really interesting to see and to talk to the digging volunteers. We can highly recommend this property and would definitely return in the future!

  • "We had a wonderful time ha Broadwath Old House - such a beautiful property!"

    Modern, rustic, cozy vibes which was perfect for a relaxing getaway. We loved the hot tub and pool table, along with endless amounts of games. It was situated in a wonderful little atea too, with such lovely neighbours and only small walk to the local pub! We really appreciated the added extras, such a thoughtful touch from the hosts. The only disappointment was that we had to leave!!!

  • "Had the loveliest stay at Broadwath old house."

    All set up and decorated so lovely. I have hectic work life and it was definitely the calm and coziness we needed. Hot tub in the garden was perfect too. There’s lovely walks around the area too especially over the bridge down by the river . The owners were amazing too, great communication and couldn’t do enough for us. We definitely didn’t want to leave . Highly recommend staying here , We will definitely be returning x
