  • "The accommodation was fantastic and would recommend it to anyone who who wanted a lovely place to stay and take a dog."

  • "Heron is vey small and bijoux and is on a caravan site ."

With hind site I should have worked this out from the Sykes description! It was clean and fairly well equipped, with several omissions that the on site team were happy to help with ; Washington up liquid , loo roll , coat hangers. Storage was very lacking requiring all our cases and walking shoes and equipment to be stored in the car . The decked area was open and not secure for our dogs , although we did obtain a wooden piece that fitted across the opening but not until we were nearly coming home . The location is in close proximity to the village and the beaches, with some lovely walks nearby and the gelato shop on the campsite was superb. The fish and chip and Ski bar were good for food and the Londis in the village well stocked. It was further from the lakes than I anticipated , taking an hour to get to Coniston . I would say not the best base for access to the lakes . I would like to thank the site team especially Jackie and Sean who were always friendly and helpful when needed .

  • "Heron pod was brand new and spotless."

All the grass was kept pristine, even in baking hot sun. Beach a stone’s throw. Eating pubs and takeaways a mile or less
