What guests are saying
The furniture was very basic, with few homely touches or comforts to make the property feel welcoming.
The arrangement of the sofas in the sitting room was rather strange, creating what felt like two separate seating areas for no obvious reason. The kitchen needed a thorough clean, and the contents of the cupboards and drawers were rather chaotic, with little organisation. The oven shelves were dirty, and we had to clean the dishwasher filter ourselves as the dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes properly. Some maintenance issues also need addressing. At least one of the kitchen chairs required attention, and the edges of the steps leading down into the kitchen were difficult to distinguish. Clearly visible, contrasting strips would make these much safer as currently a safety hazard. We also discovered that the duvets were torn when removing the covers at the end of our stay. There were some practical shortcomings, too. The master bedroom had no mirror, meaning we had to use another room to dry our hair and get ready. The bath in the master en-suite looked impressive, but its shape and the position of the showerhead so close to the wall made showering extremely difficult. We also found that the shower temperature could not be adjusted properly. It currently feels rather basic and neglected in places. With some investment in furnishings, better organisation, improved cleaning and attention to maintenance and safety, it could be transformed into a much more comfortable, welcoming and enjoyable place to stay.
Absolutely loved it here, the kids loved it and the dog!
We came to celebrate mine and my brothers 40th birthdays and we had an amazing time. The dining area was massive and it was a good entertaining space, we spent most of our time here and the kids in the room with a pool table. The garden was massive and fully enclosed, the drive at the front held our 4 cars comfortably. The property owner was lovely too every time I messaged she replied quickly, I didn't message too often. It was a lovely walk into town we followed the walk in the owners book, and walked back through town, the walk did not disappoint, lovely views. Overall we had a brilliant time and would love to come back in the future. The bedrooms were lovely too and there were plenty to choose from.
Great location walking distance from Llangollen town centre, with a great view.
Ideal space for our extended family group. Very well equipped kitchen for a large group. Needs a few small things sorting out but didn't mar our stay.
