  • "This is an amazing place, with incredible attention to detail and all the amenities you could wish for."

The warmest of welcomes from Nikki and Mark plus an excellent location for exploring the local area. Our collie loved the enclosed paddock too. We are already planning our return visit.

  • "From first arriving to leaving everything was amazing."

An outstanding property ideally situated to visit family in Derby and Nottingham. It was an extra bonus to be able to bring our two dogs. The completely dog-proof garden was a great place for them to run around and lovely walks on the doorstep. We couldn't recommend The Croft more highly.

  • "We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Croft."

We were lucky enough to be the first guests (myself, partner and our 2 dogs) to stay in this spacious, light, beautifully decorated property. The large fully enclosed paddock style garden was perfect for our dogs. They absolutely loved running around and playing in this large space and we had peace of mind knowing they were secure. We had beautiful weather and the patio area is perfect for relaxing with a drink or 2, whilst looking out at the wonderful views. The property has everything you would need including a fully equipped kitchen and comfy living area with large tv. The hosts Mark and Nikki are friendly and helpful and had thought of everything to make our stay peaceful and relaxing. There is a pub 5 minute walk down the road that has a large beer garden and full food menu (highly recommend the breakfast!). Matlock baths is only a 10 minute drive away and there are many other places nearby to visit including Bakewell. There are plenty of walks nearby, including from the farm. Unfortunately due to the high temperatures over the bank holiday weekend (we wasn’t complaining) we couldn’t take our dogs on many walks but we will most definitely be back and will be going on many adventures in the future. We look forward to staying at The Croft again, we cannot recommend it enough! We’re already looking at dates for our next stay and friends are doing the same. Thanks again to Mark and Nikki for letting us stay, we’ll see you again soon!!
