    The top car park is up a steep road, bottom one quite a distance away. I have a disability so it was a bit of an issue.

  • "Me and my mum really enjoyed Appledore and Apple Tree cottage."

    My mum loves the cottage she really didn't want to leave. The cottage was really nicely furnished and very clean. It just had a really nice feel to it. It was very equipped and a lot of thought had been put in to it. We would definitely consider another stay in the future.

The Village in a Village is a charming collection of properties located in their own courtyard hidden away in the heart of Appledore, North Devon.

It features a selection of stunning cottages set around a pretty courtyard, close to local amenities such as pubs, restaurants, and beaches, making it a simply perfect base for exploring Appledore and the coast of Devon.

Apple Tree opens up into a spacious kitchen/diner.

Here, there is a great selection of amenities to cater to your culinary needs, contemporary décor, and a dining table, where you and your significant other can enjoy a romantic meal for two.

On the first floor, the sitting room is a simply idyllic space to relax in after a long day of exploring, offering a Smart TV, stylish furniture and, in the warmer months, the option to throw open the patio doors and head out onto a balcony with furniture; the ideal space to enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage.

The Village in a Village Cottages are a simply stunning selection of cottages, settled around a pretty courtyard in the seaside town of Appledore, Devon. Where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet, sits the delightful quayside village of Appledore, next to the River Torridge. Appledore boasts a small but great range of shops, pubs, guesthouses and art galleries. A thriving fishing and trading village since the 14th century, Appledore has been a famous boat-building centre for many years and the shipyard is still active today. Picturesque Appledore provides a peaceful base from which to explore North Devon, and is close to surf beaches.The Quay is very central to life in the village and it is here you will find many activities including fishing trips, crabbing contests on the quay, and sometimes Morris Dancers. This quaint fishing village has a maze of narrow streets leading to the quay.
Just four miles from Appledore,straddling the Torridge estuary, is the quaint bustling town of Bideford boasts a medieval bridge, town quay, quaint pannier market and vibrant shopping area - all well worth a visit. For the more active, several major surfing beaches, golf courses, theme parks and other attractions are nearby and the South West coast path passes close by on its way into Cornwall. The beautiful cliff-top fishing village of Clovelly is half an hour by road, and the delights of Exmoor and Dartmoor can be reached in under an hour. Surf the waves, stroll through pretty villages, wander along the Tarka Trail, visit a famous garden or have some fun at one of the local theme or farm parks – it’s all on the doorstep.
