"This property and stay completely exceeded expectations."
From arrival we were wowed not only by how beautifully the cottage is presented, but the thoughtful touches; a platter of delicious sweet treats, fresh eggs and milk for a hot drink on arrival. This immediately got the holiday off to a good start. Our hosts were extremely helpful and even let our children help with the farm animals - a real highlight. The cottage is perfectly positioned to explore the moors and visit the beach. The sofa and beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. Loved every moment.

"We had a lovely stay in an excellent property."
It had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately weather prevented much use of the lovely enclosed garden. The welcome treats were most welcome. Hosts were available if needed and were very warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this property and would happily book again if visiting the area.

"We absolutely loved our stay at Little Orchard, the place was beautiful and immaculate."
The owners were very friendly and even provided us with extra torches when we had a power cut.

"Had a wonderful Christmas at Little Orchard."
Couldn't ask for better accommodation or facilities. Lots of little extra touches including delicious homemade mince pies and chocolate cake. Gill and Gerald were perfect hosts, really helpful. The enclosed garden was great for our smallish dog - usually he finds at least one gap!
Weather was unfortunately not great but that just means we have to come back to experience the wider area. We can't wait. Thanks again to our hosts for a great holiday.

"Beautiful, well equipped cottage."
Comfy bed and excellent facilities. Cannot rate it high enough. Gardens were a joy and very dog friendly. Extra treats were very welcome. Friendly, helpful hosts. Everything perfect!!

"Our family (2 adults, 2 teenage daughters and a labrador) stayed at Little Orchard for a week during Oct Half Term and could not have been happier."
The property was clean, well-equipped and perfect for our needs. The weather was wet and windy (as expected for this time of year) so the log burner was great for warming up after soggy walks on the moors. Although the heating kept the place nice and cosy anyway.
Although Little Orchard is slightly off the beaten track we still found the location ideal for exploring Dartmoor, the coast and local towns.

Gill and Gerald were the perfect hosts and it was a lovely touch to be given homemade scones, jam, cream & eggs on arrival. We loved having cuddles with their friendly dog Flynn too! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

"Absolutely wonderful accommodation in such a lovely setting with far reaching views across the countryside."
The property's facilities are second to none, the furnishings are very tastefully done. The hosts, Gill and Gerald are a lovely couple and will do everything possible to make your stay welcoming and enjoyable. You are only 2 miles from Dartmoor and 15 miles from Torbay.

"Beautiful property."
Spotlessly clean. Well stocked kitchen. Tea, coffee and milk as well as lovely scones with jam and cream to welcome us. Garden area nice and secure for our dog.

"For over 35 years, we have rented holiday homes both in the UK and EU."
This is the best equipped and cleanest property we have ever stayed in and the only one to provide hand towels in the kitchen. Well done, Gill.
In a quiet farmland region, a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. A lovely area to explore with lots to do and great scenery to enjoy.

"We spent two very special weeks at Little Orchard."
The accommodation was faultless and Gill and Gerald had thought of everything you and your dog may need. The location was fabulous and we loved hearing and observing life on the farm. It was without doubt the best holiday let we have stayed in and we would love to return in the future.

"Probably the best property we have stayed in."
Clean and comfortable. Best bed ever ! Soft towels and carpets, comfy sofa, well equipped. Great power shower. Wonderful garden which is completely secure even for a small dog. Split level is fabulous and it's so nice to be able to open the bedroom patio doors onto the top terrace.The property is next door to the owners' but is private and you don't feel intruded upon. It's also surprisingly quiet to say you're on a working farm.Their dogs may visit but that was never an issue. If you have a dog there's every reason to stay here. You are straight out onto a lovely walk. This property is a cut above with lots of nice touches. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these hosts and this gorgeous property.

It lies in lovely valley with views towards Dartmoor
with no light pollution or traffic noise. A place to relax and recharge mind, body and soul. Gerald and Gill are delightful and helpful and a lovely touch
was a dog tag which read 'on holiday' with tel. no. for Wink's collar in case

"We can not rate this property enough."
Set in a beautiful picturesque location, that is so peaceful and quiet you can only hear the local farm animals. We were greeted on arrival by the owner Gill and her two gorgeous farm dogs, when we entered the cottage we were blown away by how beautiful it was inside, we were left scones, eggs, tea and coffee and even some treats for our own dog Chester. It has everything and more in my eyes. Open plan downstairs, including kitchen, dining and sitting room, upstairs two beautifully decorated rooms, each with their own bathroom. Then off the main bedroom, doors lead out to a patio area with gorgeous views. You can access the lower garden via here and also from the kitchen and there are some stairs that lead down to the front of the property too. It is a perfect base to then venture out and explore more of Devon, but you can then come back and relax in tranquility. My mum, myself and Chester had a wonderful stay xx

"How very nice of Gill the owner, to come to meet us as we got a bit lost and we were delighted to be told that we were the first guests to christen this most lovely cottage."
A lot of thought and attention to detail went into the creation of this cottage and it has been tastefully finished, with old world charm and all mod cons. The scones and clotted cream were a delicious treat and also Bruno the dog was made to feel welcome with his little treats too. Gill and hubby were working hard on the farm but had time to check on us and made us feel very welcome. A beautiful setting and next to the amazing Dartmoor National Park, and lots of lovely little villages to visit in this most beautiful part of the world. A splendid time was had and we hope to return soon.
