The property

Ashburton lies on the southern slopes of Dartmoor, excellently positioned for the rugged high moors to the North, and coastline to the South.

The town is home to The Armourers Forge, a wonderful townhouse located over three floors, with fabulous decor creating a home from home holiday experience for friends and family.

Inside you will find a modern kitchen with white units, neighboring a dining room which provides seating for up to eight people, centred by a charming fireplace, and surrounded by original sash windows.

After a long day, return here for delicious meals, as you join your loved ones to discuss the events of the afternoon.

Continue your evenings on the first floor, especially in the lounge, co-ordinated with contemporary sofas, and a woodburning stove, those cooler nights will become a cosy haven.

Four bedrooms grace the two upper floors, each boast their own personality, beautifully styled with views over towards the rear courtyard, as well as St Lawrence Chapel to the front.

Two bathrooms finish the property, both feature a freestanding bath, and separate shower so you can get ready in the early hours, or enjoy a good soak after the sun sets.

The scenery in this area of South Devon is glorious in all weathers and offers visitors opportunities for walking, pony trekking, canoeing, fishing and lazing on the beach.

Dartmoor has many picturesque villages and hamlets with old thatched cottages and ancient churches, surrounded by a patchwork of fields and woodland.

The attractive seaside town of Teignmouth is a half hour drive and the popular Blackpool Sands, a little further down the coast.
