  • "We had a lovely stay at the Armorers Forge."

The house is well equipped with appliances, and furnished with a good sized dining table & chairs, and comfortable sofas & beds. The bathrooms have both showers and large standing baths. It has a spacious feel, and the courtyard is lovely to sit out in the sun. There is a park with playground just around the corners, bells can be heard from the church opposite. We enjoyed a Chinese takeway, and made the most of the local butchers. Ashburton is well connected being just off the A38, approx 10 minutes from Trago Mills, the House of Marbles & Stover Park, and less than half an hour to our favourite beach town of Teignmouth. Highly recommend, but be aware there are lots of stairs, and the parking entry is a little tight!

  • "The house was furnished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean."

The kitchen was fully equipped with high end appliances. The owner said normally they would welcome guests with a Devon cream tea however due to these strange times they couldn't do that however they did leave us some lovely biscuits with tea and coffee which was a nice touch. Dishwasher and washing tablets were also included which was appreciated. The house was equipped with Alexa, Netflix, Amazon etc as well as board games. Overall the house and the welcome was first class and we would highly recommend it.

Otherwise could not be faulted and would stay again.

The house had everything we needed and the kitchen was superb. The owners made us feel so special and it was so nice to have all the decorations, fresh flowers and treats. Selfishly don't want to recommend the house in case it gets so booked up we can't return!!!! Thank you so much for creating such a gorgeous holiday home.

  • "The holiday cottage was spotlessly clean and everything we could need was provided for."

Very impressed by all the extras provided like warm scones and clotted cream on arrival, fresh flowers throughout the house and even doggie treats for the dog. The perfect base for exploring the area and local facilities just a minutes walk from the front door. Would highly recommend.

Plus the cakes that were baked as we arrived was a really amazing touch.

  • "Ashburton is really well situated for either exploring the area, with lots of days out and adventures within easy reach of the house OR staying local, with cafes, ice-cream and a local lido in shouting distance of the house."

The house is really beautiful, elegant and peaceful and the owners were lovely - fresh lemon drizzle cake on arrival, and helped us out with a delivery query kindly. For our two families, the house was plenty big enough and I have never rented a house with such a well appointed, thought through kitchen - it was amazing.

  • "Lovely house, very spacious, excellent facilities."

Lovely touches from the owners, homemade scones and fresh flowers on arrival. Owners were on hand to help with anything very efficiently, but otherwise we were left in privacy. The house is the perfect location for a stay in Ashburton. Which is a lovely town and a great location to explore both the south coast and Dartmoor. I would highly recommend a stay at the Armourers Forge in Ashburton.

  • "The Armourer's Forge was exceedingly well fitted."

It is recently remodeled and like new. The kitchen was very well stocked. We wanted for nothing. The beds are comfortable, the sitting room large, everything functioned as it should. There were only two of us but this house would serve well for a family gathering for the Holiday.
