My toddler, wife and I had a wonderful stay at Rosemarie Annexe.

The place has pretty much everything you need for a stay and really did feel like a home away from home. Value wise, the Amnexe is very well priced and much more affordable than similar places in Charmouth or Lyme Regis. Location wise its basically perfect. Two minutes or so outside of Axminster town, you don't have to spend any time on country lanes to get to it but it still feels totally rural, overlooking fields. Axminster is a great base for exploring much of the local tourist attractions and is especially good for Charmouth and Lyme Regis which arent far away at all. I believe the property owners were away for most of our stay and the entire place felt very private. The place must be well soundproofed as the noise from the main road you can see in the distance is cut off completely once you are inside! A special note to the extremely powerful shower which was excellent after a day getting muddy and sandy on Charmouth beach fossil hunting!

We had a lovely ten day stay at Rosemarie Annexe this August.

It is situated in a very peaceful, rural location on the outskirts of Axminster. Being so close to the coast, it was a great base to explore Dorset and East Devon. As the name implies, it is an annexe to the main house where the owners live. The annexe is offset from the main house, and has a separate entrance. The owners were very mindful of our privacy, and the neighbouring properties are too far to be seen or heard. It was good to know that we could call on them if there was any problem - but there were none. The annexe is very clean, modern, and equipped with everything you would normally expect (including the washing machine, iron, hairdryer etc). We appreciate the welcome gifts that the owners left for us, they were useful after a long journey! There is a working internet connection (37 Mbps for those who care) and a TV with good signal, which is a bonus in that part of the country. If you don't like driving, the trains and buses are 15 - 20 minutes walk away. We had a very peaceful relaxing stay, and would not hesitate recommending Rosemarie Annexe as a great base for your holiday.
