    "Fantastic property and hosts."

    House was immaculate and very comfortable. Claire contacted us via email and was extremely helpful and informative and Jude was lovely, friendly and helpful, lovely scones on arrival. Our 2 dogs loved the garden, only negative and this is a very small point for dog owners, is that sadly the garden is not totally secure so you do need to keep an eye on your fur babies at all times if they are prone to "wandering" We will definitely be back.

    "From the initial 'welcome' e mail the few night before you knew you were in very safe hands."

    Everything thought of from coffee pods and dishwasher tablets on site, to dog bowls, balls, towels and extra dog tags if needed on arrival. The Barn was immaculately clean and such a charming mix of new open plan living but with its heritage very much at its heart. The garden was beautiful and full of wildlife, the BBQ left ready to use was a real holiday treat. Jude who helps to maintain the property was so helpful and answered any questions we had and was such a kind and friendly person who made you feel so very welcome. Would recommend this property to anyone as a lovely quiet get away, sure we will be returning.

    "This was the perfect holiday cottage for six adults and an energetic Vizsla."

    We were given a warm welcome from Jude along with beautiful flowers and a delicious Cornish cream tea. The cottage was spacious with very comfortable seating and beds. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of condiments, tea, coffee etc. Willow our dog loved the huge garden and after she’d tired herself out spent hours gazing through the patio door at the birds. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

    "The property is beautiful, decor outstanding."

    Furnishings first class, Garden is lovely and well maintained. The area in which it is set is wonderful. The host Jude was attentive, friendly and welcoming. Everything the guests would need has been well thought through and provided for. We were so impressed we are booking now for next year. It has been a really relaxing family holiday.

    "A beautiful cottage in a great area."

    Really well equipped and furnished with everything you'd want for a week away. Jude is a great host and the scones on arrival were lovely, made even better with an unexpected birthday cake for my mum too. With easy access to Devon and Cornwall it's a fantastic home away from home (if you like golf then it's even better as it's right next to St Mellion)

    "For us, Manor barn was perfectly located, being within easy reach of Dartmoor and all that has to offer (including that area of Devon), as well as the may coastal sites immediatley west of Plymouth(such as Looe); and even a visit to Doc Martin’s house on the north coast was an easy drive."

    Manor Barn itself was easy to find (and no very narrow lanes to get there), and had all we could want for a week-long break. Immaculately clean and every convenience we have at home. Jude even left a pair of binoculars to get a better look of the wildlife in the garden. Just wish we didn’t have jobs to get back to; would happily live there. Three very happy guests (who even found time to paint). Thank you Jude. We also appreciated your family connection with Manor Barn; made us feel ‘that little bit special’. We sincerely hope your other guests feel the same. I very rarely gush with praise, but I have this time.

    "The cottage is lovely, it was extremely clean and everything as stated."

    Jude could not have been more helpful and was on hand if needed. There was the added bonus of scones - made by Jude with jam and cream which was very thoughtful and enjoyed by us. Everything you could need is provided including a dog bed. The garden is large and was very much enjoyed by our dog. We hope to return next year. This is one of the best places we have stayed in so thanks to the owners for letting us have the pleasure of staying there.

    "Beautiful cottage great location, visits to Looe, Polperro, Tavistock, Callington, Liskearde Saltash and Torpoint."

    Weather not great but we made the most of our holiday. Jude the caretaker was very helpful and available if we needed her. Would recommend this holiday home to anybody and finally te dogs loved the huge garden.

    "We have been to many holiday cottages and this one was the best by miles!"

    "A delightful, comfortable and well appointed "cottage", in a lovely quiet location."

    The large garden at the rear adds to the ambiance and makes a great place to sit out on sunny evenings. There was a truly comprehensive "house folder" provided, which, in addition to all the basic "how to" information for the cottage, included a great deal of valuable local intelligence. There was also a good selection of leaflets to supply ideas for activities and days out, although we were often content just to spend time relaxing there. Jude was a wonderful host, who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, and speedily dealt with any queries.

The property

Manor Barn is a wonderfully-presented barn conversion located on the outskirts of the lovely town of Saltash, Cornwall.

Standing in simply spectacular gardens it is the perfect setting for a family holiday or for a small group of friends travelling together.

Step into the delightful sitting room which has ample seating, a Smart TV, and a feature fireplace adding to the serene ambience of the space.

Gather with your loved ones here for late-night conversations or for family movie nights.

When it’s time to eat, the stunning kitchen/diner awaits which is appointed with everything needed to be able to cook up a storm.

Pull up a stool at the breakfast bar, pour a glass of your favourite tipple, and keep the designated chef company.

When dinner is ready, guests can gather around the stylish dining table and look forward to meals together whether it’s a hearty breakfast in the morning, a tasty lunch, or a dinner party in the evening.

SALTASH

Plymouth 6 miles; Liskeard 14 miles.

Saltash is dominated by the magnificent Tamar Bridge, Brunel’s masterpiece of engineering taking people from Devon to Cornwall across the Tamar River, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Saltash retains much of its old Cornish charm with narrow streets rising steeply from the banks of the river, and plenty of shops and interesting inns. From the old quayside there are river trips up stream to Calstock, a pretty village with white cottages on a steep hillside. Here, the 120 foot giant 11-arched Calstock Railway Viaduct towers above the River Tamar and carries one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines down to the coast. Saltash offers some beautiful walks along the Tamar, and is only a five minute drive from Plymouth, with a plenty to occupy visitors including the historic Barbican quayside area with cafes, shops and bistros, the National Marine Aquarium and several theatres. A perfect base for exploring the area along the beautiful River Tamar.
