Apartment 1, Durham House

Everything was fine clean and comfortable but there was a problem with the televisions bad reception and we couldn't get anything on the bedroom television doesn't usually matter that much but the football and Wimbledon was on thankyou

Generally the Apartment was fine.

However, we had issues regarding the security of the accommodation - the deadbolt on the front door would not slide home and the bolt at the bottom of the door would not slide over either - these issues were almost certainly because the door had dropped on it's hinges. Also the two outer doors to the property were open 24/7. In addition a man called on Thursday morning to collect the rubbish - we already knew about this and that if we were out the person would have keys. Fortunately we were in when the man came - but we were most unhappy about this arrangement as all our personal belongings were there. We have stayed in numerous properties before and never come across such arrangements for collecting rubbish. This in our view was totally unacceptable. If we had known about this before booking the holiday - we would never have done so

Property very clean.

No washing machine or dishwasher. No scissors or eggcups. We had to ask Lyme Bay holidays for a fan, which was delivered and assembled. Total excess of artificial flowers in every room, probably full of dust as we were sneezing and coughing all the time there. Need to get rid of them all. They are very dated, the whole place needs updating. Also there needs to be a kingsize bed for a couple. Some noise from tenant upstairs, does not appear to soundproofed property for a holiday flat.

We really enjoyed our stay at 1 Durham House, the facilities were top class.

We would recommend it to everyone.

Lovely bright, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable apartment. Welcome pack with lots of goodies much appreciated! Had a couple of small issues, the team responded very quickly and resolved them for us, checking in that all was okay. Ideal location for exploring, bus stop right outside. Parking permit was very useful. Have visited Beer and area many times over the years, will definitely be back! Great apartment in great location.

Good location and comfortable accommodation but two minor issues- front door key difficult to use and in absence of a dishwasher a better draining rack.

The apartment location was great it was comfortable clean and everything in the village easily accessible , the people in the shops and the pubs/restaurants were very friendly and helpful , Beer has been a favorite place of ours for years but this was the first time to stay there , the first of many I hope

The property was very comfortable and spacious.

It had everything we needed but I found it could have done with a dressing table in the bedroom as the kitchen table had to be used for make up issues. It was a great position in the village as it was a short walk down to the sea and the pubs. It will be recommended to friends.

Surprised that I had no response to my message that there was a leak dripping into the bedroom doorway.

Great apartment. We had a wonderful time. Would be more than happy to return. Just a side note on a couple of things really. Mattress is probably on its last legs and smoke alarm is very sensitive. An extractor fan may resolve the issue. However, it was a perfect for us and thank you for the very generous welcome treats. Highly recommend to any couple with a pooch.

We arrived to a lovely ‘welcome pack’, full of local goodies, which was a real treat.

Photo’s don’t do the apartment justice. Fab location, right in the centre of Beer, stunning views and friendly local pubs and eateries, with lovely walks. Beach is pebbles but still lovely sat on the beach cafe looking out to sea with all the fishing boats (fresh seafood sold at beachside) is an added touch.

This is the 4th time we’ve stayed here and have already booked again for next year as we love it so much!

The apartment was lovely and in very good location but had a musty smell that ruined a bit the overall good impression of all the effort put in this apartment to make it look trendy and luxurious.

It was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. We really liked Beer it is such a lovely place and the apartment was right in walking distance to everything.

Just got back from a weeks holiday in Beer .

We stayed at apartment 1. Durham house . We walked into a warm and welcoming place. Spotlessly clean and everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay . Right in the heart of the village. The village shop and bus stop across the road . Other facilities, bars, restaurant's chip shop , and shops in a short walking distance. The beach is also nearby, it’s a pebble beach, lots of things to keep you busy. We took the coastal path to Seaton which is quite a hike but if mobile it’s a good walk. We also took the bus to Sidmouth and drove to Lime Regis . . We took our dog with us and everyone in Beer was dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit and stay in the comfort of your own apartment.

Apartment was is a good location in Beer village and very presentable.

However it was let down from day one by finding a dirty towel in the middle of the bathroom floor and the lack of any toilet paper, we also had to contact the management agency due to rodent activity in the apartment during our stay

Great location lovely apartment , convenient for staying in Beer with shops and pubs and travelling to other locations , great welcome pack and would stay again.

A lovely spacious apartment in an excellent location at the top of Fore Street in Beer.

We really felt part of the village. What a great space for two people! We loved the large kitchen diner and the way the flat flowed through the bedroom to the bathroom at the back. We had everything we needed for our three night stay. The parking permit was a very welcome benefit which was kindly included in our rental. The outdoor space was a plus and we sat in the sun a couple of times. The only thing we didn’t appreciate were the very dated heart ornaments everywhere and the ‘love, laugh, live’ signs - even painted on the wall!

Very good quality but we had a lot of flies in the bathroom about 30 to 40 didn't know where they were coming from.

We travel to Beer at least twice a year and love staying there.

This was our first time at Durham House and loved the cottage, it was very clean, cozy and enjoyed our welcome pack of goodies. It has everything you need and we will definitely stay here again in the future if available.
