  • "We had a fantastic holiday at Beer View Cottage."

    The property was very well equipped for all our needs with a toddler. The views are stunning and the location is perfect - just a short walk (although quite steep) from the centre of Beer. The property is dog friendly but you would not know that there had been dogs staying as it was very clean. Our dog absolutely loved the garden and enjoyed a good run around. Lorraine and Bob were very welcoming and gave us advice on where to visit throughout our holiday. We would definitely return again.

    A beautiful view from the lounge and bedroom. Everything was spotlessly clean, and there was everything needed for a relaxing stay . Bob and Lorraine, were there if you needed anything, and were very friendly.

  • "We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our four-night break at Beer View last week."

    The property is beautifully maintained, and the views are simply stunning – it was such a joy to watch the sea from the comfort of both the lounge and the main bedroom, made even better by the wonderfully comfy beds. The en-suite with its excellent shower, alongside the main family bathroom with an additional shower, made mornings easy. Our son particularly loved the patio views while playing guitar and creating new music (which even the horses seemed to enjoy!), and our two pugs had a fantastic time too. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches – the extra treats, dog bowls and towels for the dogs were very thoughtful, and the hamper of biscuits, popcorn, tea, sugar, and milk was a lovely welcome after our journey. You both made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble. We definitely plan to return in the autumn – and we’ll be sure to bring more treats for Millie next time!

  • "We had a lovely stay at Beer view."

    We were impressed from the moment we arrived. Beer View was immaculately clean. The view from the window and garden overlooking the sea was beautiful. There was a lovely little welcome package awaiting us so we could have a drink after our journey. The property has everything you need to have a comfortable and relaxing week. Both the owners (Lorraine and Bob) were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The beach is a 5 minute walk and several pubs, shops and cafes within a 5 minute walk. There is a bus stop again within 5 minutes of the property which runs pretty much hourly. We travelled with our pet labrador and we were all made to feel welcome. We highly recommend Beer view (and Lorraine and Bob) and would love to return.

  • "My Mum and I stayed in Beer View for a week in March together with the dog, Rufus."

    The accommodation was perfect and the view from the lounge a treat each morning as we were so lucky with the weather. Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction. Beer is situated on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the village offers sloping streets lined with picturesque stone houses and cottages built on many different levels of the steep valley sides. There are a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs in Beer, plus just outside the village is the popular Pecorama Gardens, which are perched on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay. Pecorama boasts the Beer Heights Light Railway and indoor model railway exhibition, along with a children's play area. Beer is a unique Devon fishing village and a great place to stay.
