  Such a beautiful luxury apartment overlooking the River Dart. The highlight of the day was watching the steam train come in. The stay was very relaxing and the peaceful surroundings made the holiday extra special.

• "This apartment is absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed staying here."

  It was spotless, spacious, comfortable and in the perfect location. It is decorated beautifully and has everything and more that you could need. The view from the apartment was perfect, watching the steam train go by across the river, seeing all the beautiful boats and we even saw a seal outside in the water. The only thing I would recommend is some blinds on the bedroom windows for a bit of privacy but apart from this it was perfect. It is just a few minutes walk from everything and Dartmouth is one of the nicest places we have visited with plenty to do. We would definitely return.

• "No 9 Dart Marina is a fabulous well equipped apartment with everything you require for a self catering holiday."

  It’s decorated to a very high standard and was very clean. Its location is ideal being an easy walk into Dartmouth town and providing a designated car space just to the back of the apartment. If there was anything I would suggest to improve visitors stay it would be a blind to be fitted in the Master Bedroom. This would greatly improve not only privacy but light as well. I would also have liked some more Dishwasher tablets (there were only 3 for a 7 night stay!) a little thing I know, but its the little things that matter. All the staff at the office in Dartmouth were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We did report that the fridge and freezer were in serious need of defrosting and they offered to send someone in to do this. We declined, but wanted them to be aware that it needed doing before the next guests arrived. We will definitely return.

• "Amazing apartment."

  Extremely well equipped. Beds and bedding super comfy and high quality. The view is incredible. Good position too, short walk, approx 10 mins, to town centre where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Highly recommend number 9!

• "An unrivalled location and an extremely well appointed property."

  It is clearly very well maintained and had everything we could wish for in a holiday let. Our one gripe is no recognition of our loyalty as returning customers. This was approximately our 13th stay with “Coast & Country” ( or Sykes) but the original incentive scheme is not honoured and there is no form of any recognition/ appreciation for our custom.

• "An outstanding waterside property, and my wife Jenny judges everything on Claridge's, the top London hotel (when we can afford to stay there)."

  Fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. Location spot-on. We were surprised how big this apartment was (palacial for two, well apportioned for four). It's on the second floor (two flights of stairs) but there's a lift! It actually has stairs upto a well converted attic with an extra TV or quiet room. Well equipped kitchen and all the things you need such as iron and board, hoover, hairdryer etc. We weren't bothered by noise, even though we're directly opposite the upper ferry. You can literarily lean out of your indoor balcony and look down at the river, from a height that gives superb views up river, but no view of the harbour. The main bed was very comfy (and Jenny really appreciates her beds), but we did read reviews that complained the bed was too hard). We thought it reasonably firm and very comfortable. You get a parking space, and a quarter mile walk to the centre of town. We rate this as very good value for money, because we love being close to the water. We loved it so much we've booked it for next year.

• "Blackout blinds in bedroom due to lights outside."

  Throws in lounge would have been a nice touch as we definitely would have used them had there been some . Also a couple of pens in a drawer would have been good to write in guest book. An extra toilet roll per bathroom and a few coffe pods would also have been nice but apart from these minor issues we had fantastic time and the apartment was brilliant

• "We have used this apartment for several years."

  There were some improvements through this winter and it’s now even more special. The booking through Sykes is much better and a lot more organised even though they have increased the rental substantially for the week we normally book. We have already reserved our week for next year and will hopefully do so for many years to come. Highly recommended.

  Could have benefited from a little maintenance - some lights were out, there was a leak under the sink in the bathroom, and if there are extractor fans in the bathrooms they didn't seem to be working. There was no tea towel so we had to buy one. This is a very expensively equipped apartment in an prestigious block, but the availability of car parking was what decided us to book!

  No9 was sumptuous, yet homely & comfortable. Everything needed for a self-catering holiday was considered. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms top rate, & the lounge/dining-room space superb for easy living. We were blessed with good weather again, & as well as enjoying the apartment & its spectacular views, it was also nice to be part of the Dart Marina complex & to be able to sit outside in the sunshine. A wonderful week.

• "This apartment on the second floor is immaculate and beautifully furnished, the view is fantastic 'a wonderful changing view all day and evening' we didn't put the television on once, far too mesmerised by the boats on the river dart and the binoculars a great addition."

  Great easy flat access into town and wonderful to have parking outside. It does have extremely firm mattresses and the master bedroom currently does not have black out blinds or linings and are at the back of the property above the parking area and directly opposite the hotel apartments. The apartment access and parking is shared with the hotel service area and opposite the hotels apartments and spa, on occasion a little noisy for us (but then we live in a very quite and dark area on the South Coast) The higher ferry is close by and useful should you wish to take a taxi into Brixham - this is not noisy at night and great fun to watch, a short walk along the esplanade takes you to all the key areas for catching the river tours or bus trips. Fantastic location.

  Quality furniture and fittings and a wonderful view from the window. Some self catering units are short in some departments, not No 9. I counted 9 mirrors in the apartment besides the ones in the bathroom and ensuite! I thoroughly recommend this unit particularly for a special holiday

  It was plush, spacious and extremely well designed. It was a pleasure everyday to sit and have breakfast looking out directly onto the marina. The location was excellent, central to everything in Dartmouth.. The spa was an addition that came in very handy for the relatively rainy week we stayed. We would have given an excellent rating, but felt that the beds let the property down. As two couples staying in this apartment, we both agreed that the beds were petty uncomfortable. They look lovely, but they are awful to lie on. A great place to stay should always make the beds the number one priority if it wants happy returning customers. However, we did have a happy holiday and thought the apartment and its location was beautiful despite this.
