  • "This is our second stay here as we loved it first time around in general it was good downside Ants they were everywhere in the kitchen even in the drawers difficult if you have food around."

Second was the lumpy uncomfortable mattress so it did spoil my stay this time around

On a better note - the bedding and towels were clean and fresh.

  • "Nice comfortable place to stay handy for walking to Brixham."

The only thing we didn't like was the road noise. Radiator in bathroom didn't come on when we stayed but the rest of the place was toasty we just left the doors open so nowhere was cold. Minor points carpets need a clean in the bedroom as previously someone's spilt something and good underlay in the future. Yes i did have to wash glasses before we used them but that's often the case with holiday lets not an issue for us.

  • "This was a very pleasant cottage in a very convenient location."

The cottage was clean and comfortable with a very homely feel to it . ‘David’s ‘ fish and chips were amazing and just round the corner. We also had an enjoyable evening in The New Inn which was just off the harbour and played very good music.

  • "When we arrived the premises were spotless, toilet, cooking utensils not a speck of dirt."

Kitchen modern and as we extended our stay for another week the washing machine was great. There was ample space for us and the beds were very comfortable. We would not hesitate in staying again.

  • "Cottage was as advertised and had excellent facilities and was very clean."

Situated just a five minute walk from the harbour had a tight parking space but at least safe and off road. Only issue we had was with the dishwasher not working properly which I tried to resolve myself but the owner was contacted but I didnt receive any response which was slightly disappointing but overall would recommend.

A lovey clean well equipped place not to far from Brixham Harbour about 10 minutes walk but be aware the house on crossroads traffic very noisy but quiet from late evening till six in morning off road parking is a big plus as there is nowhere you can park in Brixham

  • "The cottage is spacious, very well equipped, with lots of storage."

The furnishings are lovely, the bed was really comfortable, and everwhere spotlessly clean. Thankfully, there is off road parking. We really enjoyed our stay, and Brixham is a good base for exploring the area. The building is positioned on a busy crossroads with cars stopping and starting at traffic lights, and at times it was really noisy.

  • "The location is great, a really easy walk to and from town."

The house is well equipped and spotless with the added bonus of friendly neighbours. It was perfect for two of us. Instructions for using appliances and the Internet were very clear. Checking in and out was very easy even when I managed to lock the keys inside when we were leaving.

About the location

Dartmouth 5 miles; Paignton 6 miles; Torquay 8 miles.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
