"The Coach House is a lovely secluded property in a beautiful location very close to Brentor Church."
The gardens are stunning and very quiet and private. We had complimentary brownies waiting for us on our arrival which were delicious. The house had everything we needed and more. We felt very much at home there and didn't want to leave. The play barn with table tennis, football table and pool table were used a lot. All in all, we thought The Coach House had an air of magic about it, it's such a special place.

"We had a wonderful week at the Coach House over the New Year week."
Owners Tim and Tori Cunningham live on their active farm and we were made to feel most welcome in the magnificent building that it was clear from the photographs in the house that they had spent many years restoring to a high standard. This was just perfect for our family of six adults and four children aged between three and eight. The brownies provided for our arrival contributed excellent sustenance for the first walk we did onto Dartmoor and across to the Mary Tavey pub, reached in just an hour and a half even at small child pace (and by the way is best accessed via the protected footpath from the recreation ground in the village centre). The children had a great time in the indoor swimming pool and the room and water was warm even when snowing outside on our last couple of days. We can strongly recommend this holiday home.

"The coach house is a comfortable, quiet property with good bedrooms and bedding."
The outside pool is lovely although deep for small children. The inside pool is not suitable for children as difficult to access. In my opinion the property is not suitable for elderly people because of trip hazards, the floors drop by an inch through every room and threadbare carpets with rolled up corners are a hazard. Outside patio is a disaster. The whole property needs a deep clean and refurbishment. Many of the door handles and loo handles come off in your hand. Finally things need checking before guests arrive. The sauna was broken and couldn't be fixed until we left, so we never had use of it. The owners are lovely people and have a good product but it could be so much better. Beware of the wandering sheepdog who has a tendency to wee on the front door and alcove!
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear of the issues you raise, which are in stark contrast to many other positive reviews we’ve received for the property. As you’ll see to date, comments on the property have been complimentary so far and yours is the first which isn’t so. We’ve spoken to the owner who is baffled (as are we) regarding your comments on the indoor pool. The picture shows a true representation of the access and layout to the indoor pool, which has been consistently enjoyed by children of all ages throughout the years. While there is a very slight drop in the slate flooring between the hall/dining area to the kitchen and drawing room, this is not consistent throughout the house. We’ve reviewed the carpets and found no signs of them being threadbare. One rug in the drawing room had a corner that had rolled slightly, but it was tucked away and did not present a trip hazard. Nonetheless, we will be replacing it shortly. We also respectfully disagree with the description of the patio as a “disaster,” as this has not been raised by previous guests. Similarly, we were unable to locate any loose door handles during our inspection. Unfortunately, the sauna issue was not reported by prior guests. Once the owners were made aware, they promptly arranged for an electrician to visit on the Tuesday following the bank holiday. A replacement part was ordered, but regrettably did not arrive in time for your stay. We’re pleased to confirm that the sauna is now fully operational. We do hope you were able to enjoy the brand-new 55-inch Smart TV, which the owners purchased specifically for your visit after it was confirmed to you that the original listing did not advertise one. The owners take their letting of all of their properties very seriously and pride themselves in giving good holiday experiences, this is reflected in the feedback we have received and we have every confidence this will continue to be the case moving forward.

"Lovely house ."
Fabulous facilities just difficult with the small steps from drawing room, dining room and small sitting room . Not really suitable for under 2/3 year olds , or elderly with sight problems . Two of our toddlers had several falls ! But survived and no harm done !
Noisy with stone floors , it would be great if chair legs could have some sort of pads applied to reduce the noise, both in kitchen and dining room.
A kitchen mop would have been helpful.
But honestly it was a great house and we loved it .
Flowers ,cake and milk on arrival a thoughtful and welcome touch .
Thank you again .
We will return another year .
Private chef, from Outside Inn Cuisine Team , recommended by Mrs Cunningham, was an absolutely treat.
Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable.

"Outstanding property in a very peaceful location."
My family loved the whole experience. Our parties are range was from 11 to 73 and all loved it. The kids were a bit disappointed with the quality of the Wi Fi however the adults were delighted with poor reception. Piece. The indoor pool was a great success as the heating for the outdoor pool had driven down. The surrounding garden was a great hit on the warmer days. A couple of trips into Tavistock were very successful and enjoyable ( lovely little market town)
We would have no hesitation in recommending The Coach House and would love to return in the future.
Thanks for allowing us to holiday in your lovely home.

"The Coach House is a delight."
Comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail (art work and ornaments). The kitchen is very well equipped with every size of pot, pan, dish and plate that you could want or need (but a new can opener is needed).
The gardens are perfect. Shrubs for interest in every season surround the sunny and sheltered seating area and the neatly kept lawns are great for games of all sorts.
The additional facilities of games room, heated outdoor pool, endless pool and sauna are perfect for families of all ages at all times of year.

"Lovely house, perfect for our large family, although we did have to compromise on bedroom layout would have been nice to have one of the rooms as a double ( but that was just our pref) ."
The house was super well equipped , a nice touch having some basics for cooking and dishwashing. Some fresh eggs and brownies were a welcome surprise on arrival. Very cosy once the fires were lit as it was an exceptionally cold spell when we were there.

"The property was lovely, perfect for the whole family, and the owners friendly and helpful."
Our only issue was that the information folder in the property was out of date, therefore prices quoted for activities were inaccurate. Other than that, we had a fantastic time and would have loved to stay a little longer!

"We had a superb stay at The Coach House."
What a lovely place in stunning surroundings. Very helpful but unobtrusive owners, an extremely spacious house and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Our kids 3 1/2 and 21 months absolutely loved the play room, garden Wendy house and pool as well as the friendly sheep in the field behind the garden. Lots of excellent places too eat too - Bearslake Inn, Dartmoor Inn and The Cornish Arms, Tavistock come well recommended.
