The Farmhouse

We had a wonderful week at the farmhouse and made full use of the beautiful surroundings.

Our two dogs loved having the freedom to run off‑lead in the empty fields, and our granddaughter was absolutely delighted with the garden kitchen and playhouse. The homemade chocolate brownies were a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The farmhouse itself is spacious and well equipped, though a few areas could benefit from some general sprucing and updated lighting. Some of the older‑style lamps downstairs didn’t work even after replacing bulbs, and the kitchen felt quite dark even on sunny days. Under‑unit lighting would make a big difference. Despite these small points, the location is truly stunning and made our stay feel special. We’d happily return one day.

Fantastic facilities to use during our stay, loved having the pool and games room across the way.

Property was very rustic and lived in, but, to honest it suited us with children and dogs. Plenty of space in the house and perfect hallway for the dogs to settle. Small negatives if I was to be picky Tv provided was very old, only Ariel channels available, unless , you used a firestick. Internet Tv ‘s are very reasonable to purchase these days, for the small cost it would be a great enhancement. Wifi could do with being upgraded as it was very slow. No wall sockets in the lean to extension, was very dark without extra lighting, we used the room for games and puzzles. The larger double bedroom with a slightly smaller bed , the mattress was too soft and maybe could do with replacing to make a quality sleep as good as the other double bed . Overall, we had a fantastic stay, owners Tim and Victoria were very obliging and helpful.

Overall our stay at The Farmhouse was lovely.

We were left fresh flowers and home baked cakes on arrival, which was a lovely touch. The children loved the pool, tennis courts and games room. The land around the farmhouse is a beautiful place to explore. The only negative is that some minor maintenance is required, for example the television needs replacing (broken and pixelated on one side) which made it difficult to watch the World Cup. Also, some floor boards are very loose/bouncy particularly near the upstairs bathroom.

Had a very pleasant stay at the farmhouse comfortable rooms and seating and comfortable beds a very well equipped property .

Owners are on site and very friendly but not in your face which is nice. All in all a very enjoyable week.

Exactly as expected an old farmhouse to be, we loved the conservatory and the peace and quiet, and made good use of the games room.

We look forward to returning again as this was our second visit. Thank you Tim and Victoria and the cookies were yummy too !

We have just spent a wonderful family holiday at the Farmhouse.

Everyone enjoyed their stay, especially being so close to the animals and the day to day life of a farm - with such nice owners. The facilities were great and the surroundings were so peaceful. Added to that the weather was warm and sunny all week ! Thank you Tim and Victoria.

We had a wonderful stay, loved the Farmhouse, bed was so comfy, so peaceful, sat listening to so many different birds singing and identifying them on my bird app, the house was immaculate everywhere.

Cant wait to stay again when visiting devon. And our dogs loved it too.

The property is great for large family gathering.

We had two small children with us and they loved the different rooms and games available. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils. We loved the area and walks from house.

The Farmhouse is set on the edge of a widely spaced & small group of buildings, within a 200 acre non-intensively managed farm; lots of fields, trees & a few animals.

Tim & Victoria were lovely, friendly hosts, who left us to do our own thing but were there if required. We had utter privacy, beautifully quiet nights and access to the House gardens - if required - which were almost like those of a mini-stately home in scale, imagination and backdrop. The Farmhouse is large and thoughtfully done, with not only many utensils and facilities but with plenty of space, storage and original character. It is set on the edge of Dartmoor with a stunning view of the Western side and, in particular from the main house; St Michael's church on Brent Tor - wow! We loved it there; thank you.

We were made to feel welcome and at ease with our stay. The games room and gym was an added bonus that we all throughly enjoyed. t was our first family holiday for such a long time and it was certainly one to remember. We were blown away with the facilities and views. We will 100% be coming back again soon.

Beautiful farmhouse located in the middle of a live farm.

A warm welcome awaits as you arrive at the end of the farm drive. Great location for families and dogs. The farmhouse is just as you would expect. Fantastic location away from it all, but just right for working remotely if you need to!

We booked the property to celebrate Beverley's 70th birthday.

It was as described and suited our needs perfectly as the family travelled to share the happy occasion. It was well situated to enable us to enjoy lots of walks and to explore Dartmoor. The games room and gym were well used with lots of competitive fun and games. A huge plus was that wi-fi was at best intermittent and enabled us to have an almost phone free holiday!! Everyone enjoyed our stay enormously and would recommend it very highly for a great family holiday!!

The Farmhouse was a lovely place to stay.

Perfect for families (we were a multi-generational one) with lots for the kids to do - and teens too. The accommodation was delightful, comfortable without being show-home perfect (which always makes me nervous) with lots of traditional features. We really enjoyed our stay. If I were to nitpick I'd say the collection of games in the breakfast room could do with a freshen up, lots have pieces missing or no instructions so we couldn't play them. But that's pretty minor, all in all we loved our holiday at The Farmhouse.

Recently a large family group of us ie 8 adults and a dog spent a lovely relaxing week at the farmhouse.

It provides lots of space both indoors and out swimming pool and games room were used regularly by the younger people we did not get to use the tennis court outside there are walks for the dog with beautiful views of dartmoor .

The farm house was really nice the facilities were great especially the outdoor pool ,the gym, games room and tennis courts provided lots of activities for both adults and children.

The owners Tim and Victoria were great hosts and so helpful , we must mention Victoria's delicious chocolate brownies , which were a lovely welcome treat. The farm house, is a little tired internally and could do with a little TLC, however, has many original features making it quite quirky. It has everything one would need for a lovely holiday, in a peaceful, beautiful setting. We as a family of 9 had a great week at the farm house . A brilliant location for visiting places, set on a beautiful farm, which the owners are happy for you to walk around .

My family had a lovely relaxing week staying at The Farmhouse, swimming in the pool, playing tennis, using the games room and watching Tim care for the animals.

The chocolate brownies that were left for us on our arrival were amazing. The surrounding scenery is stunning, and there is much to see and do in the local area.

The farmer Tim was so nice he couldn’t do enough to make our stay great from arranging last minute clay shooting to allowing family to visit with a lovely touch of homemade brownie just great having the freedom to go walking around the farm with our dogs and little one will be booking again xx

Lovely comfortable farmhouse which suited all our needs.

The one thing we could not find was a house book which gave information like emergency numbers etc which is always there in your properties. Three generations stayed plus 3 dogs as we were celebrating our Diamond Wedding Anniversary and everyone enjoyed it. I would certainly recommend this farmhouse.

We spoke to the owner regarding a couple of things we had noticed with appliances that needed attention, neither of which hindered our stay, we had a wonderful time

Lovely place and was very suitable for our needs.

We did order a essential food package for arrival but it wasn’t there. Floors were dusty and needed mopping and spiders, flys and cobwebs around window sills and windows. We found a pair of knickers under the bed which didn’t belong to us! Also around the farm a collie dog was around which was lovely to see but kept pooing but the gate we go into the farm house. We cleared up 4 poos whilst we were there. Needs more or up to date lighting as very dark. And a lot of the furniture seemed very tired. But we had a lovely time and would definitely go back.

Lovely place, very spacious and quiet.

Lovely walks close by. Games room and gym close by. Exploring the moors was fantastic.

Lovely old cottage full of character with a lot of space.

With a bit of TLC could become 5 star. In particular the furniture and cushions in the sun room need replacing. No welcome pack or even a pint of milk left which would have been handy and more hand towels and tea towels would have been useful. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful, had a really relaxing time four of us work in the NHS and after the last 2 years needed a break.

What a gem, relaxed the children loved the pool. Had some wonderful family time in the garden, games room, gym and even some tennis. Would highly recommend this holiday home and the owners are lovely, home made welcome brownies disappeared no sooner than arriving. Thank you from all 10 of us
