Linhay

Lindsay is a lovely little place to stay, it has all you need and is the perfect size for a family of 4.

The garden is a lovely bonus too. The swimming pool is amazing, large and has a selection of floats and balls to play with. Tracker tennis in the games room was a hit! If you want to play pool maker sure you take 20p's. The cottage is really clean and the garden well maintained.

Good value for money, short drive into Bude.

We had a problem on the day we arrived; the owners got back to us immediately and were very helpful. Some of the fixtures and fittings are worn, especially the bathroom sink taps, which were stiff to use; the cold tap only worked intermittently. Also the 2 night storage heaters in the bedrooms were very old and rusty and the controls were very also stiff to use. Also there didn’t appear to be any means of turning on the ceiling lights in the main room.

Lovely little cottage to stay in as a family of 3 plus dog.

While it is a small property everything is laid out to use the space really well. The furniture is comfy and the kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment, though only one person can use the kitchen as the room is small, but it worked very well. The cottage was clean with fresh linen, there are some cobwebs about, but everything else is clean and tidy and in good condition. We had to put the heating on when we arrived but the heaters kept the cottage nice and warm, the kitchen and bathroom only had small fan heaters so they would get cold when not in use. The garden is a really good size and has access to the play area through a gate which was handy. The indoor swimming pool and games room were the highlight of our stay and we used both everyday and it worked out that we didnt need to share these with the other families staying, which was really lucky. The pool has no shallow end which was a surprise so for little kids that cant swim will need floaties, there were plenty of pool noodles and kick boards for anyone to use which was great for us. This property is close to public footpaths for dog walking, and 10min drive to beaches so great location. We had a lovely time and would be happy to return to this site again.

The whole family loved our week at Linhay.

The cottage is incredibly cosy, with a warm and peaceful atmosphere—perfect for snuggling up with my 3-month-old baby. Meanwhile, the older children were happily occupied at the park, in the games room, or swimming in the pool. They were hardly on their tablets at all, which was so lovely to see. We’ll definitely be returning in the future.

We found the directions rather confusing and had to speak with the owner to understand them - perhaps going forwards the final part could read something like "Turn right onto Stonehill and after about 130m turn right into Trevelgus Cottages.

Linhay is on the right just by the swiiming pool". Other than that we had a delightful stay there. The bungalow has good wifi, an excellent lawn which the dog loved chasing a ball across and is well equipped and comfortable. Whenever we travel we expect to get bad backs because of the beds but that didn't happen at Linhay. The smart TV is truly smart with plenty of streaming channels. It's right by the swimming pool and games room (where we enjoyed several games of Pool on the very well priced table). The position of the bungalow is ideal being 5 minutes drive from Bude and it's beaches and not much more to the quieter Sandymouth Bay. Supermarkets are easily found off the A39 and again only 5 minutes or so.

We had a wonderful stay here, the facilities are great, location perfect, just a really great place to stay.

Great cottage in a very quiet location well kept grounds walking distance of everything you want or need.
